                      from Astroclubul Added 249 0 0

A small video of solar eruptions of 23 oct. 2010 13:10 UTC Equipment, from 'top to bottom' -Coronado PST (40mm f/10 H-alpha telescope) -3x Barlow-like lens assembly -Baader UV/IR cut filter -Trust 5400 webcam @ native resolution - 1280x1024@15 fps. PP w/ Virtual Dub. Speed is 2x original (30fps), crop is vertical only, down to 720 pixels. The combo above is way over the resolution limit of the telescope (~3 arcsec), the distance between 2 pixels of the webcam is ~4.2 um = 0.7~0.8 arcsec. Although we're not dealing with point-like sources here, it's a reason for the blurry image quality. Earth would be big enough to fill the gap between the very tips of the two large vertical filaments at the bottom. And still leave some room around it. Yay.
