The Fairmount Park Association put together an event to help draw attention to public art in Philly. At this event "Participants helped FPAA see public art in a new light by illuminating the abstract "Iroquois" sculpture with a symphony of flashlights." They gathered a bunch of videographers to shoot videos for their social media outlets. For my video I chose to utilize time lapse photography to capture the abstract essence of the sculpture while using the sequence of captured images to bring the Iroquois to life. I had originally intended to use my time lapse dolly but I blew a circuit on the controller the day before so I had to resort to a number of stationary set ups. In the end after shooting from 7:30pm to 10pm I only had about 20 seconds of completed time lapse. This pushed me to explore more experimental editing techniques like compositing, color isolation, bloom effects and of course film burns gallor. Music By Bonobo of the Black Sands album- which is great you should buy it off their website. http://www.bonobomusic.com/
