    Ride “The Highlander” is a mountain bike race consisting of primarily single-track riding with a fair amount of climbing and descending. There will be a “long” race that is 2 laps around 20-24 miles and a “short” race that will be 10-12 miles. Ride “The Highlander” Mountain Bike Race is a real mountain bike race, on real mountain bike trails, created by real mountain bikers, for real mountain bikers. Don’t miss this opportunity on September 26th, 2015, to race on some of Northern Michigan’s most premiere mountain bike trails with some of the area’s top racers. Our 10-12 mile loop will take you through some of Northern Michigan’s most scenic and challenging single track. With natural features and man-made features this race course will have it’s share of challenges for every style rider at every level. The “long” race will consist of two laps around this gorgeous track and the “short” race will be one lap. We can’t wait to rub tires and share some dirt with you this September.

      first ever video using my GoPro Hero 3. bike ridden was a Framed Minnesota 3.0 w/Bluto and 4.75" Bulldozer tires. Max speeds in video were 37-41kph sprints, 20-26kph on the ice, and 15kph average over the rock gardens. It was raining, plus lots of slush, and mud, so the lens kept getting blurred up... sorry!

        It wasn't called the Mouth to Mouth Wild Run and Ride for nothing, and hee we have both, accompanied by a "GUIDE DOG", just in case either got lost on the beach between the mouth of the Kenai River and the mouth of the Kasilof River. Especially on a nice sunny day.
