Lines are drawn and everyone is wondering how long this show down will go on. Two meetings for the California Public Utilities Commission are set for today, first at 2:00 PM then tonight at 6:00. The commission will talk about how the rates consumers pay will be affected by the closing of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. The meetings are open to the public and anyone that wants to talk should arrive at the Abahr Shriners Building at 5440 Kearny Mesa Road a half an hour before each meeting. Superior Court arraignment for 40-year-old Angelo Fabiani is at 1:30 in San Diego’s downtown courthouse. Fabiani is accused of wrecking his car on the freeway and then running away leaving his hurt and bleeding 4-year-old son behind. The 4-year-old was later declared brain dead. A few local political things going on. First at 10:00 AM San Diego's City Council is meeting about some changes to the labor deal with the city's unions. Then Coronado's City Council will meet at 4:00 this afternoon about a secondhand smoke ordinance And last at 5:00 tonight The San Diego Unified School District Board of Education is getting together to talk about some new charter schools and the school police employment contract. And finally today is the start of Free Museum Month for children. Children under 12 get into San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, all the museums in Balboa Park, and even Legoland all month for the annual event.
