1. Luigi Viola Memories of Tel Aviv 2011

    from Luigi Viola Added 1 0 0

Author: Luigi Viola Title: Memories of Tel Aviv Time: 14’53’’ loop Year: 2011 I saw a place of memories with no history, memories of not very important places and people and feelings and gestures. Insignificant traces of our faces reflected on the glass. They tell us about the apparent banality of our time, never to forget what was today. The hypnotic movement of the video-camera mixes sounds and images of private life, transforming them into a shared song and into a monument to the collective memory of ordinary people.

            • My Manifesto

              from Leanne Morrison Added 1 0 0

As a painter, video has never been my thing but I have had a fascination with it for a while now and this project has given me the opportunity to dive in the deep end. I'm in my final year at EIT for the Batchelor in Visual Arts and Design and by design, I paint and dabble in print and am hugely influenced by artists such as Eva Hesse and Agnes Martin. The project just completed involved me writing a manifesto and then creating a graphic representation, to be presented to the class at the end of the project. In this case I had a vision of how I wanted to visually represent my manifesto and that meant learning to use a video program to edit footage, add text and edit/add sound. This was my very first attempt and I was very surprised at how the video turned out, it's not perfect and I haven't changed it from the final piece that I presented to my peers and tutors and that was a conscious decision I made. I wanted to look back at this first version as a reminder of how far I went in a short space of time, I think from taking multiple footage and choosing a video program then learning to use the program I think about a week. I found the process challenging but rewarding and it has given me the bug to create more videos, stay tuned.

Fragments of an interior space has been realized in 1980 with P.P. Fassetta. Images roused by the meeting between reality and imagination and gathered in the mental space of the story, change as perceptions and states of mind change. The poetry of the bodily expression and the matter which is free to act in the vacuum, blend in the mutual feeling of nature.

                      from Andrea Antonino Added 244 3 0

BIANCA/VOLTA books was an exposition of graphic projects created by students of the Fine Arts Academy in Venice during the last year. It represents a little part of a bigger project that has taken place for three days at the FallaniVenezia- Center for the Arts, Cannareggio/Venice with a serigraphy workshop and a seminar about the art book with Professors and other guests. — http://www.accademiavenezia.it https://www.facebook.com/biancavoltaevent https://vimeo.com/135333506 (BIANCA/VOLTA - workshop) — An idea of Mario Pasquotto, Graphic Designer and Professor at the Fine Arts Academy Venice.
