A piece co-produced by Open Latitudes network - With the support of the European Commission. This new work of FINGERSIX is about the obsession of western civilization with finding out what is going to happen in the future. Predictions, forecasts and estimations sound like contemporary oracles. What do we want to know? What would we be ready to sacrifice in order to get this information about our future? Is future a paradox in the occidental paradigm? A game of prediction with a landing into the phenomenon of the now. For her first solo project, the Hamburg-based American artist Dani Brown invited a guest into her studio: the devil himself. Tempted by his infinite power of play, creation, and destruction she slips into a variety of figures, defining the limits of the "Solo" form while presenting her very personal solo strategy. Together with her accomplice she drives a consistent chaos and transformation-game testing how far she can push her relationship with the audience, and how the boundaries of the symbolic ritual of theater can be reset. HOW DO YOU IMAGINE THE DEVIL is a joyful play with identities, borders and the forbidden - the devil is our witness. - Melanie Zimmermann, dance dramaturge, Kampnagel CHOREOGRAFIE /TANZ / PERFORMANCE: Dani Brown | F6 GUEST DIRECTOR: Melina Seldes | F6 GUEST PERFORMER: Gael Cleinow SOUND COMPOSITION, STIMMENCOACH: Alessio Castellacci | F6 LIVE SOUND PERFORMANCE: Gael Cleinow LIGHT DESIGN: Henning Eggers Management: jackson.klein.booking@gmail.com EINE PRODUKTION VON: FINGERSIX | Kampnagel Internationale Kulturfabrik, Hamburg | DanseFestival Barents 2013, Hammerfest, NO GEFÖRDERT DURCH: Hamburgische Kulturstiftung, MIT FREUNDLICHER UNTERSTÜTZUNG VON: K3 Tanzplan Hamburg, LePacifique Centre Choreographic (Grenoble, FR), Surviving Dance: Politics + Economics + Art, Garage 29 (Brüssel), TRYangle (Marseille, FR), und ImpulsTanz Festival (Wien, AT).

By Dani Brown and Marta Navaridas In The Invitation, the choreographers Dani Brown and Marta Navaridas, members of the international collective FINGERSIX, have come together to create an evening of suspense. Inspired by the work of contemporary filmmaker David Lynch, they have set out to translate suspense-mechanisms from cinema to stage. Running on the speculation that an inherent element of suspense is curiosity for the unknown, the two directors have fine-tuned various performative elements to keep the audience alert and guessing at every turn. Critics: ...a maybe murderous menage-a-trois... ...their absurd and morbid cat-and-mouse-game fascinates us and reminds us of the sad restlessness of beautiful animals in a cage ...an enigmatic and obscure party-game of deception, dance, and death ...the mix of personalities makes an altogether splendid cast Hamburger Abendblatt, 10.01.08 ...glamour, hysteria, and the human abyss ...a promising debut for Dani Brown and Marta Navaridas and their international collective FINGERSIX ...in the imagination of the audience images are triggered, reminding us of intricate tracking-shots in psycho-thrillers ...shifting eroticism into violence, euphoria into horror, and superiority into helplessness Die Welt, 11.01.08 By Dani Brown & Marta Navaridas Performance: Alessio Castellacci, Monica Coronado and Alex Deutinger Video:Daniel Schmidt Coproduced: Fingersix, Kampnagel, Kulturbehoerde Hamburg, Depto Cultura del Gobierno Vasco

A Beauty Contest. A performance where three beauty queens and a host get down and dirty with cultural prejudice, gender conundrums, and mediatised ideals of beauty, power, scandal, and filth. Marta Navaridas and Dani Brown of the international performance collective FINGERSIX shamelessly adopt social rites and standardised imagery within a culture of representation only to dismantle them throughout the course of the show. "autogoαl" is a series of performances that explore the characteristics of the playing body in a poetic and surreal way. We are interested in the inherent power of the act of playing. Its unique nature to make the real, unreal and vice versa, to make the serious, funny and vice versa. At the very edge of our expectations, we set up an imaginary game with very strict rules. The players are then invited to follow the rules and the performance starts. autogoαl#03 / Embros Theatre- re-activation program of Mavilli Collective / November 2011 sofia mavragani | tadeu liesenfeld | drosos skotis

MIND THE MAP, a corporal debate on cultural misunderstandings Fingersix/athens in collaboration with Yunjung Kim (South Korea) and the musician InfinitiveLivez created the multicultural dance performance “mind the map”. The piece explored cultural limitations. Bodies with different characteristics, behaviours and pasts offered an imaginary journey in the present based on the future. A corporal dialogue on cultural ethics that provokes the possibility of unethical outcomes. In November 2009, fingersix/athens presented their new work entitled INCORRECT ME, in one of the empty shops of the athensheart shopping mall. Our challenge was to create theatre convention in a location that the audience is not used to reading as such. INCORRECT ME is a politically incorrect apposition of parallel realities. It is a work influenced by the political and social situation that emerged in Greece after the killing of an 18 year-old student by a police officer in 2008. Stereotypical characteristics of different social behaviours are embodied. On stage, one character succeeds the other and every new image radically abolishes the previous one. We want to discover the other side of the same coin. Right or Wrong. Three performers give their own interpretation about different ideas and images of social and political behaviour. Together with the soundscape of Kaspar Konig they spontaneously respond with their own politically incorrect reality. Query, surprise and challenge are prevalent. concept/direction: Sofia Mavragani Performance: Nikoleta Xenariou, Marta Navaridas, Alex Deutinger Music: Κaspar Konig Costumes/Set Design: Kenny MacLellan Light Design: Maja Gehrig Production: fingersix/athens In coproduction with athensheart fingersix/athens is subsidized by The Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism

IT’S GONNA BLOW is a performance with three dancers and an actor. The work ticks with cultural prejudice and mediatised ideals of beauty, power, scandal and filth. The members of the international performance collective Fingersix shamelessly transform mechanisms of representation! Maybe it’s a beauty pageant. Maybe it’s an ontological reflection on the meaning of the Universe. Maybe there will be meat. Maybe we know what you think. Maybe it’s a night in a titty bar. Maybe there is a terrorist attack. Maybe it’s paradise now. Maybe it’s not.
