Hi guys, I want to share with you my last R&D, so much inspiration from the amazing shot made by Digital Domain in "Into the storm" Movie. Some things need to be reviewed, but probably I'll work on it forward. Software used: 3ds Max, Thinking Particles, FumeFX, Krakatoa, Deadline, Nuke. Thanks for watching and hope you like it. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ info: http://www.fxguide.com/quicktakes/into-the-storm-a-trio-of-tornadoes/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQb7sjJ-ksk

    • Firenado Australia- WILD vision

© Copyright 2012 Chris Tangey "As we approach 2 years since this extraordinary natural event was captured, here is the last version we will release online of the 40 minutes we recorded on September 11 2012. Unlike previous clips this is wild vision at actual speed, a totally unedited and uninterrupted 3 minute "chunk" of the event as it happened. Intended for Fire Scientists, Meteorologists and fire tornado geeks, it allows a more continuous view of the physics behind local atmospheric conditions, and the actual behavior of the vortex of smoke and fire. Best viewed on a large screen with a home theater system, an important point is, regardless of the pictures, this is possibly the first ever time the awesome tornadic sound of a fire whirl has ever been professionally recorded in the wild." Wild footage at actual speed of the Fire tornado event recorded on September 11 2012 near Mt. Conner Australia (details below) © Chris Tangey 2012 https://www.facebook.com/alicespringsfilmtv https://www.flickr.com/photos/127047460@N08/ http://alicespringsfilmtv.com.au/ DETAILS: When this "fire tornado" event was recorded, Cameraman Chris Tangey used both 1080i normal speed and 720P slow motion, changing between them several times over that 40 minute period. This means that until now many shots previously seen on television or online were at 2.5 times slower than they actually were on the day. For the very first time a series of wild clips are precisely corrected back to actual, or as-it-happened, speed. The furious flickering of the, at times, 35 metre (110 foot) tower of fire and wind is now evident and explains Tangeys' quote: "I have never seen anything so big, move so fast, in my life" Important copyright notice: This video was first published in Australia so comes under the Copyright Act Australia (1968) Unlike some other jurisdictions, the Act contains no "fair use" clause so it cannot be published in any form, in any medium, without consent of the copyright holder. September 11 2012. A freak natural event occurs in the middle of nowhere. Incredibly, only minutes before it begins just 300 meters away, a TV cameraman already has his camera on a tripod and rolling on something else. Al Gore tries to buy the video, and is rejected, twice..... and a global firestorm of coverage and controversy ensues.
