              Rev. Kate Lore from First Unitarian in Portland, Oregon delivers a statement to protesters at a noontime rally near the offices of U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer and Senator Ron Wyden. Union and environmental groups merged purposes to declare their opposition to pushing new trade agreements through Congress with a quick up/down vote that avoids debate over new rules that bypass rights, safety and environmental protection. This bill could be introduced for vote as soon as the following week, and Ron Wyden is playing a key role in bargaining his sponsorship with Republicans in the endless game of politics that haunts our government.
