A cooling animated fluid freshly squeezed into GASER's kitchen. Everything was fine in the CG lab, but the waiter was fired immediately. Un fresco ejercicio de animación de fluidos recié salido de la cocina de GASER. Elequipo artístico está satisfecho, pero el camarero ya no trabaja aquí.

Of course, this is a 3D comp (or not?). Of course we can do the same with french cards. Just for people who doesn't know MUS (the best Spanish invention after the submarine), this cards combination makes people as happy as if they had four aces in a poker hand. Sabemos que hay juegos más internacionales en auge. Podríamos haber hecho un bonito POKER, pero este ejemplo de dinámicas realistas y "slow motion" es un homenaje a nuestro juego preferido.

After several attempts we discovered in GASER LABORATORY how to hit always. (Our 3D silks are a bit fragile but quite realistic. Not true?). En el laboratorio "GASER ALCHEMY" descubrimos la manera de acertar siempre. De paso creamos tejidos 3D (un poco frágiles pero bastante realistas ¿no?).

        • Efficient Smoke Simulation on Curvilinear Grids

We present an efficient approach for performing smoke simulation on curvilinear grids. Our technique is based on a fast unconditionally-stable advection algorithm and on a new and efficient solution to enforce mass conservation. It uses a staggered-grid variable arrangement, and has linear cost on the number of grid cells. Our method naturally integrates itself with overlapping-grid techniques, lending to an efficient way of producing highly-realistic animations of dynamic scenes. Compared to approaches based on regular grids traditionally used in computer graphics, our method allows for better representation of boundary conditions, with just a small increment in computational cost. Thus, it can be used to evaluate aerodynamic properties, possibly enabling unexplored applications in computer graphics, such as interactive computation of lifting forces on complex objects. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, both in 2-D and 3-D, through a variety of high-quality smoke animations.

https://cmivfx.com/store/598-Autodesk+Bifrost+Liquids Bifrost: a bridge to a new world This course will go through the process of simulating liquids with the new Bifrost Fluid Implicit Particle solver (FLIP) in Maya 2015. Although simplicity is key when learning, this course will help you not only to learn how to press Maya buttons, but is intended to infuse your creativity with knowledge on how staggered grids and particles can become alive and create beautiful water simulations, from a small droplet to a massive ocean. We have decided to mark specific sections of the classes when referring back to similarities with Naiad. We think this will help those who, like me, used to be true Naiad soldiers and now want to transition onto Bifrost. For all the others, new to this environment we will cover everything from the ground up to make of you educated FX artists. The course will start with a theoretical premise covering a little introduction on how flip solvers differ from other simulation techniques to let you better understand down the road the way of working around Bifrost. Helpful introductions will be followed by hands-on examples on how to setup scene files, covering one by one all the tools currently available in Bifrost. This section will be giving you the necessary knowledge on how to use kill-planes, colliders, emitters and optimize your scene files for speed or render quality. To follow this we will go through the process of working on a film shot, involving multiple simulation passes, rendering and compositing to provide the Artist with a clear understanding of how to work in a real production environment. By the end of this first course you will have not only a firm understanding of Autodesk Bifröst but you will also truly understand the information under the hood of this excelling solver. The course is taught by Diego Trazzi and supported by Igor Zanic. About Diego Trazzi Diego Trazzi is an accomplished effects professional, who has been in the industry for more than 10 years. His earlier years involve TD generalist work and motion capture before he turned into a savvy in special effects, extensively on fluid simulation. His recent award was the Best single visual effect of the year in VES award 2009 for the highly talked-about “Neytiri drinking shot” in Avatar, which was predominantly Trazzi’s contribution for fluid simulations. He was also one of the very few people who helped developing Exotic Matter’s “Naiad” since alpha version. https://cmivfx.com/store/598-Autodesk+Bifrost+Liquids

                      What are Tags?

                      Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
