This little elegy by Hokushi is based on a haiku about autumn. The atmosphere is deeply evocative. Fall is always an evocative and sentimental period in Japanese culture. The music was composed in a few weeks, while my father, to whom it is dedicated, was reaching the end of his life. After a short harsh beginning (a multiphonic), the work evolves from eolic sounds till a peaceful pedal at the end (whistle tones), through a brief and compressed development. Fall has come. But not only the wind. The Song in this film "De Profundis" is inspired by the awesomely moving song of the humpback whales and the amazing creatures that swim in our Oceans. The film is set overlooking the city of Stockholm and here the sky is sometimes the ocean and the air is swimming with fish - Whales leap and Dolphins play amongst the city buildings in a Dream landscape where anything becomes possible. This is the stupendous world of flowing energy and change in which we live.

Live-video from the concert in a gallery of modern art "Art-Shik" (Vinnitsa, Ukraine) 20 June 2014. A few words about the history of a flute ensemble "Doppler-Sextet" With an effort of Franz and Karl Dopplers (Франц и Карл Допплер) the tradition of giving concerts of chamber flute ensembles was established in the first half of the XIX century in Lviv. Since 1997 the old professional practice, which varies from flute duet to flute Doppler- sextet, has been revived by Andriy Karpiak and other Lviv artists. The ensemble of flautists “Doppler-Sextet” is a group with distinguished long established traditions. An invaluable contribution to the art of flute performance and repertoire was made by the active solo, ensemble and composer activity of Franz and Karl Dopplers, who had a well-deserved reputation as the classics of the flute ensemble of the Romanticism. At present, the works of the brothers-geniuses do not only belong to the most popular flute literature, but also achieved the peak of general recognition. Nowadays a flute band, giving concerts in Lviv (1997), together with Yevhen Biletskyi are performing a number of original programs in Ukraine, Poland and Germany. In 2002 the group became a flute quartet. In 2003, while visiting Germany, the members of the quartet attended master-classes of Jeanny Baxtresser, a flute soloist of the New York Philharmonic, in Weimar. The flautist was impressed by the high level of performance and striking originality of the repertoire displayed by the quartet from Lviv. Later, Jeanny Baxtresser greatly assisted with the publication of works from the quartet’s repertoire in the USA. The group became the laureate at the International Contest of Wind Chamber Ensembles in Vorzel (2004), recorded the compact disk entitled “The Concert in the Town of Lions” (2006), participated in numerous music festivals, and collaborated with outstanding musicians and Ukrainian composers. In 2008, due to the extension of instrumentation and repertoire, the flute quartet turned into the flute sextet and was named Doppler-Sextet in honor of the flautists memorable for their flute performance in Lviv. The works of Franz and Karl Dopplers are always included into different concert programs of the group. The sextet consists of the following members: Mykhailo Sosnovsky (piccolo, flute); Andriy Karpyak (flute); Zhanna Len’ (flute); Volodymyr Lushchenko (flute); George Loshakov (flute); and Yevhen Bilets’ky (alto flute). Л. Flute music. Classic music.
