The JALKA is a Homemade Arduino based MIDI Footcontroller. “Jalka” is the finish word for “Foot”, so i thought it would be an appropriate name for my Footcontroller. =) It has (in current v1.0): - 8 Buttons (each with Click and Click+Hold); - 4 Modes (kind of like banks, each offering a different set of messages for the buttons, so making kind of 64 “buttons” in total); - 8 Knobs that allow you to control sliders or knobs in your DAWs; The buttons and knobs are assignable to any feature on your software, so you can use them for any function that your creativity demands! ;) Following the Open Source ideal, the design, the schematics and even the code are open to anyone interested. If you would like to take a look at them, please send me a PM and i’ll get back to you with the plans for the JALKA. I would love to know what you think about it, and/ or any ideas you might have to improve it. =)

I made this quick tutorial to show you how to wire a foot controller to the Brain to use as a cc analog control. This is actually pretty easy to do and follow for beginners. You could actually have a panel with 64 1/4" jacks and have 64 foot controllers working at once... maybe that is another tutorial down the road.
