This showreel was done for my school module. I am responsible for modelling, lighting, rendering, composting and tracking. The Lamborghini car model was downloaded from rip3d.net. The task for the module was to compare between the Mentalray and V-ray render engines. I tried different types of lighting methods. For the Automotive lighting I followed the method used for automotive photography by Tim Wallace. For the Interior part I used a reference of a real picture from some photographer's website. I replicated the same lighting used in the photo. The software's used for the work are, Autodesk 3ds Max 2015, Maya 2015, nVidia Mentalray, Chaos Group V-ray, The Foundry Nuke 8.05, Adobe After Effects CC 2014, Adobe Premiere CC 2014, Boujou 5.0. more info http://hagbarth.net/?page_id=96 Here is a little gizmo i have been working on called Spot Flare, that is used for single light flaring. The glow is by default inverse square, which gives it a nice unlimited falloff. The shimmer is based on this falloff and have animation settings, as well as a timeoffset slider allowing you to gang it to a camera or other movement (support 3 dimensions). This should be available on Nukepedia Soon.
