freethought invites...Territorial Agency 'The Infrastructural Unconscious' 17 February 2015, Hordaland Kunsenter, Bergen For the first in a series of public guest lectures hosted by freethought for the Bergen Assembly, London-based organisation Territorial Agency introduce their research on 'The Infrastructural Unconscious'. The lecture presents a variety of visual material and sets out an inquiry into the models to govern, order, affect and structure territorial change by measuring, surveying, quantifying, evaluating, connecting and linking. Divisions in space, divisions in time: a new set of spaces are being transformed, territories reconfigured, power relations reshaped and authorities repositioned, connections severed and reorganised. About Territorial Agency: Architects and urbanists John Palmesino and Ann-Sofi Rönnskog founded Territorial Agency in 2007. It is an independent organisation that innovatively promotes and works for sustainable and integrated territorial transformations. Their practice combines architecture, analysis, advocacy and action, and often brings together multiple stakeholders from international organisations, to local, national governments and private actors. Territorial Agency is currently leading research on the transformations of the coasts of Europe at the Architectural Association in London. Recent projects also include the international documentary project tracing the emerging thesis of the new man-made age, The Anthro-pocene Observatory, exhibited at HKW in Berlin 2013-14; Museum of Infrastructural Unconscious; North; Unfinishable Markermeer; Kiruna. ---- freethought invites...is a series of open and free public events organised by freethought for the Bergen Assembly to pursue their collective research into 'Infrastructure'. These events are open to all, and are hosted around dinner, drinks and a guest lecture. ---- Video by Scott Elliott for Bergen Assembly 2016
