    Cameron Robbins ; 4 recent projects: site-specific kinetic installations creating drawings 1. LSDM – Lunar/Solar Drawing Machine 2011 Gallery Barry Keldoulis, Sydney Australia April 2011. Solar Powered drawing machine in the process of creating 30 consecutive day-long drawings from direct solar energy (no batteries) on a 2.4metre roll of paper which slowly rotates ONCE during the lunar month. Pigment ink pen on catridge paper. 2. Shanghai Rooftop Wind Drawings 2010 (satellite project to World Expo 2010) Rooftop of East China Normal University, Shanghai China. An outdoor installation of wind-powered drawing machines with which the artist produced a series of drawings from wind and weather over 5 weeks. 3. Binary Opposites IV 2008 Kinetic wind-powered drawing installation in condemned bus depot Vic, Australia. 11-metre long dual axles transfer rooftop wind energy through several floors to drawing devices below. One draws with black pen on whiteboard, the other white-out on concrete. 4. High Altitude Drawing Instrument 2009 Temporary installation on Mount McKay, second highest mountain in Victoria. With this I produced a series of site wind drawings, pigment ink on paper, over 3 days.

      Monasterio (b. 1952 in Mexico City) is a photographer, editor, curator, publisher and educator whose latest work, White Mountain, explores the home of the indigenous pre-Columbian Zapotec civilization. Monasterio has had solo exhibitions in Museo de Arte Moderno, Centro de la Imagen, and Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico, and in museums/galleries around the world. In 2001 he was the curator of the PhotoEspaña festival in Madrid. Monasterio is the editor of Frida Kahlo: Her Photos, a collection of photographs that Kahlo acquired throughout her life. His La última ciudad (The Last City, 1996) was named the best photographic book prize of the 1998 Photographic Spring Festival in Barcelona, and the 1997 Gold Eye of the Festival Des Trois Continents in Nantes, France. He has been a juror for World Press Photo and has imparted photography and editing workshops in many countries.
