11 Mischa Badasyan currently works on his performance piece called SAVE THE DATE. Every day he meets someone new and so for the whole year. In December he dated B., a young student from Berlin. His story touched Mischa a lot – at the age of 11 B. tried to commit suicide by jumping out of a window. At that time his parents were divorced and he was staying with his mother who had to work at three different jobs to feed the family. B. was feeling guilty for that and because he loved his mother, he decided to help her, to reduce the pressure and stress. One day he was alone, after his mother had gone to work, B. skipped the school and stayed at home. At one point he made a decision to jump out of the window. But before to take his last step he wanted to say goodbye to his mother. So he stood on the window sill and took the phone to call her. She was working in the hospital. As the phone rang her colleagues called her to come over. The talk on the phone lasted more than 30 minutes. While speaking to her son she managed to call on the other line the grandfather to come and save the kid. Like a miracle grandfather came on time and grabbed B. from the window sill. He was saved. B. is 26 years old now, he is living and studying in Berlin. poem by Mischa Badasyan Город незнкаомый никого никого и только ступени, которые ведут наверх Я закрою окно Я закрою окно за собой за собой Слова проглатывает темнота глаза слепнут город в моих ногах страх и пустота я на краю высота не пугает мой шаг — это боль ступени и тишина крыша Я закрою окно Я закрою окно за собой за собой Я ушел, закрыв окно кто-то постучал, а там только свет я ушел со светом, погасив боль director of photography Anne Kathrine Bindesbøll photography by Maike Schäfer und Vivien Kyra performer Alex Vent assistance Nicole Banowetz, Frank Pingel, Ina Maier music Daniel Siegmund editing Mischa Badasyan co-editing Lucas Levon video produced in cooperation with QUARTEERA e.V. quarteera.de/ thanks to Miss Moon and Plateau Gallery

Abdella Taïa reads from his book, An Arab Melancholia. Taïa's writing and rare public declaration of his homosexuality are paving the way for small changes in the way his home country, Morocco, views gay men. He is currently living in Paris.

A Christian response to the young boy who said that "Jesus must be your Lord or He will not be your Savior" and "The Bible talks about the homosexuals -- they're worthy of death". Hate is never the answer. This does not promote or condemn Gay Marriage in any way. I simply point out that hatred of anyone is not Christ's way. The song is "Lord, I would follow thee" from the LDS (Mormon) hymn book, available free online at www.lds.org. The last image was painted by Greg Olson, an LDS artist who I thank for his constant talent. I own the first image presented in the video. Image created with GIMP.
