This video is a compilation of gifs that I timed to Foxygen's "Shuggie," that I made to be superimposed over dancers performing a dance that I choreographed earlier this year. The concept behind the dance concerns gender roles in the workplace, "pink-collar jobs," and was inspired by my experience working as a secretary or administrative assistant for a number of years. The goal was to emphasize some of the feelings of dissatisfaction and angst I experienced in those positions (often driven by gender inequality) with a 1960's Madmen aesthetic.

Was ist normal? Jahrhunderts? Tim Stüttgen (Autor / DE) Vina Yun (Journalistin / AT) Moderation: Ulli Mayer (Politikwissenschafterin, girlsrock.at / AT) Forum Stadtpark, Graz, Austria 22.10.2011 https://elevate.at
