        • Biceps, Muscle and Brawn - Solo - Slowed and Analyzed...

          from Steve MacEwan Added

This is a private video of Lewis Clifton playing Biceps, Muscle and Brawn at the march GFS Meeting, recorded by Scott from the Scottish Formby Group. The clip has been slowed to 50% and the chord shapes that Lewis is forming within the solo have been placed onto a table (chord box) to help the uke player progress through the solo. I tried this myself and while the chord progression is reasonably accurate, I came away with something that was close to Lewis's solo, but also unique at the same time. This is Take_One guy's - it can only get better. Looking forward to meeting Scott and Nick at Perth in May... Edit: For those interest, the chord shapes took the longest to make, each were made in Illustrator CC. The rest was just some Photoshop, Audition, Premier Pro and a few graphics I had on my Macs HD...

'When I'm cleaning windows'...I like to listen to the dulcet tones of George Formby and speaking of which, good old George would have been in his element at this years Ukulele Hooley in Dun Laoghaire which saw a plethora of activities including, workshops and performances from bands from all over the globe! While this segment may not pluck at the heart strings, there's certainly plenty of strumming going on, which is music to our ears!
