This movie is the final edit of the full VIXEN movie, commissioned by Glyndebourne Education in summer 2012. Featuring music composed by Brian Lock, and songs written by Al Start, both collaborating with Steve and working with approximately 30 young people from Brighton and Hove. The Vixen is played by Emma Newman, Mr Fox by Daniel Sheen, the estate agent by Jamie Parsons and the call centre manager by Amyn Ali. The first forest sequence is in red-cyan anaglyph 3d. Inspired by Janacek's 1924 opera "The Cunning Little Vixen" this is a condensed contemporary version of the story lasting about 30 minutes. Shot entirely on DSLRS, with assistance from Liam Hooper and Lottie Geliot, the movie was conceived as a combined arts experience, using large scale projection and live performance elements combined. There is another shorter film of the event, which took place on July 14th 2012 in dreadful but rather beautiful weather conditions.

This is a short film of highlights of the live show, which took place in rainy conditions at Preston Park on 14th July 2012. The audience were absolutely fantastic, putting up with the bad weather. Thank you if you were there with us. Thanks also to Taylor Wimpey for letting us film at the glamorous Royal Alexandra Quarter, and a massive well done to all our performers and crew, who pulled it off in such difficult conditions.
