Over the past few years I’ve collected a lot of time lapse and loved sharing it with you through my films “The Unseen Sea” and “Adrift”. “A Time Lapse Collection” is a medley of some of my favorite shots that didn’t make their way into either film. All of the footage was gathered on countless excursions into the Marin Headlands, the Berkeley Hills and a more recent trip to Dubai. While my two previous films focused more on the interaction of the fog, “A Time Lapse Collection” includes fast paced urban footage from San Francisco and Dubai. Lastly, I wanted to share some of the beautiful sunsets I’d captured, lighting up clouds in a vivid explosion of color. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while shooting. Licensing: All of my work is available for licensing under a rights-managed agreement. • Meet Me in Big Sur

Find me on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/andrewjulianb Check out my latest film The Quiet City: Winter in Paris. https://vimeo.com/62959319 Have you ever wanted to visit Big Sur? Yes or no, take my advice and GO! Call in sick or do whatever you need to do and go; you will not be sorry. I have been dreaming of exploring Big Sur for years now and finally did it! My wife and I packed our car and drove with no plans other than to end up in Big Sur. Driving along the Pacific Coast Highway is an incredible experience and being able to really take our time and explore was easily the best start to a new year I've ever had. Trying to bring the Spirit of California's central coast into this film has been difficult. I've tried my best, but pictures just can't do it justice. No camera can perfectly capture the raw power and beauty of the Pacific Ocean or the feeling of standing near the ledge of a high cliff while the sun sets. I used my Blackmagic Cinema Camera for this film and the color and latitude that shooting in raw provides still amazes me. The flexibility that uncompressed raw gives you in post production makes the 1 Terabyte per 2 hours of footage data rate worth it. I also can't wait to use the new firmware that's been announced! Many more great options to expand the capabilities and improve the workflow. It definitely would have made this shoot a bit easier. P.S. If you can, watch this film with good speakers and turn it up! Be careful though, it gets much louder towards the end. All shot on the RED ONE @ 4K 16:9 from some of my favorite spots around the city Lenses: Zeiss Ultra Primes 16mm-100mm The raw capabilities of the Red are fantastic! After taking the images into color I saw a 180° difference in the images. The raw files were cold and dark and I was able to get so much amazing vibrance out of them.

Cody is a sweet kid from L.A., who came to San Francisco to shoot with me for my Naked Happy Girls show on Playboy TV. Yes, I'm lucky to have her, as well as a big boat to cruise around on, under the Golden Gate Bridge. We also went by Alcatraz later. Needless to say it was a fun afternoon on the water. Tourists seemed to enjoy it all too... Take your time on this one. Let Cody and her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, amazing tanned body and nice feet with tattoos, warm you up a bit. This shoot reminds me a bit of Iris, who I filmed on a boat in front of the Statue of Liberty. Both women have prominent spreads in my "Naked Coast to Coast" book. No pun intended. I would purchase it if I were you. Feel free to drop me a dollar to inspire me to post more of Cody. There are four more segments waiting on the open seas... Thanx ~ Andrew

I already had a passion for time-lapse and of course, the beautiful landscape that is SF. Thinking on how to approach a new project I decided it was best to collaborate with Dredg, a band that I had grown up with and admired. Dredg was equally excited about the prospect of covering one of the best classic songs of our time and morphing it into something artistic and new. We primarily used the Canon 5D Mark III, which has served as an amazing product for our projects. To capture unique movement within our shots we used Dynamic Perception’s “Stage 0” and the “Stage 1” accompanied with Emotimo’s “TB3 Black” Pan & Tilt System. With the backing of these two companies we were able to successfully capture our vision within each composition. And of course, what is a project from PermaGrin Films without using our GoPro armada. As we ran around the streets of San Francisco “guerrilla style,” GoPro’s served as an excellent behind-the-scenes tool to show off our techniques.
