                Momin, a storekeeper in a corner store in Dhanmondi admits that he stocks artificially ripened bananas. He has been told that this is harmful and has tried to obtain bananas that have been naturally ripened, but claims such natural bananas cannot be found anywhere in Bangladesh, so he is forced to stock these bananas that have been sprayed. He shows two bananas from the same bunch that the spray did not reach. These are hard and according to him will never ripen as they have been taken down too early.
