Very rough test to see if I could get these 3 solvers to work together. Still some stability issues to sort out, but it does look interesting! I'm also getting a fair bit of flicker in my liquid mesh, any tips on how to improve on that?

I'm new to Houdini (long-time 3DS Max user) and have been enjoying playing around with the new H14 features. Wanted to see if I could get a more interesting look out of the grains shelf tool. I create per-point attributes for wetness, then use that attribute in the solver as well as in the 'duplicatePoints' upres node (dry grains are less likely to be duplicated) and a customized Mantra shader. I'm also using random non-uniform radii for the grains as it looks more natural.

Please support our campaign at: http://igg.me/at/bread This experimental documentary will explore the craft of baking and what it takes to produce a high quality loaf of bread. It will then focus into the world of competitive baking and the process of what it takes to sustain the Olympic mindset of a world class baker. As a part of the 2012 U.S. Baking Team, local craftsman baker, Mike Zakowski [the bejkr] competed in the Coupe Du Monde De La Boulangerie (World Cup of Baking). Now in an individual effort, Mike is headed to compete in the Masters de la boulangerie in Paris, France 2014. The story will be told through the use of innovative film technique and the documentation of the burgeoning localized slow food movement in Northern California. In contrast, it will focus on the fast paced competitive baking scene worldwide. Music by: April March, Little Dragon, Junior Boys, Live Footage, Ratatat, Buell Kazee. The Grain Divide is a timely feature documentary on the rebuilding of the foundation of our food & culture: grains. This unprecedented documentary film exposes fact/fiction while taking you on an entertaining and inspiring journey through the farms, kitchens, bakeries & nutrition/science labs leading the rebuilding of our most basic food. The Grain Divide takes an unbiased look at some of the biggest and most talked about issues in food and nutrition today. The cinematic and true story approach is uncommon for modern food documentaries...providing a beautiful and educating experience. The film features dozens of top chefs, bakers and food thought leaders from across the United States who are at the forefront of this critical movement to rebuild and save, not eliminate the foundation of our food and sustainability. The budding farm to table movement has helped restore integrity, connection, taste and nutrition to much of our food from fruits and vegetables to meat and dairy. Unfortunately the farm to table movement forgot our most basic food. "This may be the most important food film of our generation" - Chad Robertson "This film is a celebration of grain...our most basic and nutritious food. We need to turn back the clock and remember what wheat has done for us for generations. It's about time someone demystifies the rhetoric head and simply speaks the truth about the most critical food the world has ever seen" - Marc Vetri

Particles: 46482 Substeps: 15 Sim Time: 7 minutes 54 secs Frames: 200 This example is to show that SimSOM can do inter-materials interactions, here grains are interacting with a liquid. SimSOM is an independnt library created by me from scratch, Multiplatform and application independant, it can be easily implemented for any 3D app. My current implementation is for Houdini using its HDK, and all the demos are realized using it.
