The story of The City Of London Dragon Boundary Mark. Final project in MA Graphic Moving Image at London College of Communication, London, UK. 2014 Short informative animated film of the origins of The City Of London Dragon Boundary Mark, using original photographs from the past and the present. The history of The City Of London Dragon Boundary Marks is both a fascinating and surprisingly story, and one which most people are not familiar with. That story is the strength of my Major Project. I was amazed to discover the how little is known about these statues despite searching in libraries, museums and on the internet. As a foreign student I like the idea of being able to promote part of British history. This animation was a university project I did for my MA course at London College of Communication. After doing research about the shape of circles I wanted to create an animation showing emotions and personality without using obvious characters or faces but only deformed round shapes. The egg as a symbol of creation and life was the perfect object to build the narrative around. The aim was to show life starting from birth, including difficulties in life, helping each other, daring to explore and group dynamics. The story was built as a loop to carry on the idea of the circle of life. Sounds from freesound.org Software: Cinema 4D, After Effects

FREK is an interactive video installation, that works with the voice of the user. It takes the audio as input, analyzes it in terms of sound parameters like the frequency and the amplitude, and generates images on the screen as output. The objective is to encourage the user to make sounds in public space. These sounds may be humming, whistling, singing, shouting and even screaming. As the interactor gets louder, she takes her experience to another level, so FREK can be described as a challenge to the audience. The louder they get, the more diverse visual languages they experience as a reward for their gumption. The specific aim of this project is to make people communicate with the 90’s Turkish television in an unconventional interactive television experience through the medium of video, and challenge the audience to get loud in the public exhibition space. Haggerston Park is an open space in the London Borough of Hackney. It includes walking roads, playgrounds, football fields, tennis courts, huge empty spaces and a small BMX track. In a regular walk in the park, I hear different sounds from several sources. All the sounds just fly into the air, disappear and then rise again like a loop. Decomposing the sounds as loops and visualizing them, my aim is to keep a memory of it, make them appear on the screen and documenting the soul of the place Haggerston Park in an abstract way. It is the "Design Literacy" unit brief of MA Graphic Moving Image in London College of Communication. Students were given random geometric shapes (mine was circle) and asked to explore the form through the underlying principles of Graphic Moving Image and time based visual thinking as delivered through a screen format: diversity, proportion, scale, dominance, balance, rhythm, meter, tempo pattern and harmony and the elements which give form to ideas and concepts including: line, shape, scale, space, light, colour, tone and texture.
