Working with award-winning film making duo, Ricardo Gamboa and Benjamin Kolak, teens participated in a rigorous advanced apprenticeship to explore the intersection of performance, media, and social change. Teens created episodic media addressing social issues through subversion of selected genres. Final products may re-appropriate or parody telenovelas or commercials, music videos or public service announcements, etc. allowing teens to confront issues ranging from the American Dream and immigration to gang violence and generational difference. Film making becomes grass-roots art-making with an improvisational touch and teens are encouraged to make use of community, incidental, and found resources. The form of the final media products is informed by content which is arrived at through rigorous individual reflection and medicine circle discussions, social inquiry, and community interviews. The goal of the program was to develop teens into socially conscious, highly creative, young artists who believe they can change people's perception through the power of their art.

Cornelia is the head of the Hamburg office of the Association of Binational Families and Partnerships. The association's role in the project Protection for people affected by discrimination in schools – Complaint management is schools was mainly the consultation process: consultation with the affected parents and children, and putting their lobby experience into the process by formulating their needs. I also asked her about the process of project design, partnership, recognising common needs during the project, and how she deals with partners who are not "pro's" in partnership projects (small grassroot initiatives, individuals, activists, volunteers).

LocalDines.com, with existing operations in South Florida, Phoenix and now Maine, boasts over 400 current restaurant participants. LocalDines.com is a grass-roots, locally-owned and operated digital marketing & advertising program that requires no cash investment to restaurants. We promote restaurants by selling a limited number of gift certificates per month, per restaurant, ensuring a constant flow of new customers-not just the deal hungry crowd. Unlike other companies that sell restaurant gift certificates, LocalDines.com goes far beyond. We feel your most expensive table is an empty table, but we also firmly believe that sending money out of state by using high volume daily deal cash-out systems is wrong. On average, we fill 1.7 tables a day for your restaurant, and your food costs are always covered. The benefit is that your restaurant is never swamped by a crowd of deal-centric customers, allowing you to maintain a high level of service while still growing your customer base. Over time, our restaurant-centric revenue sharing system means we do all the hard work (gift certificate generation, customer service, data aggregation, maintaining our stellar IT infrastructure, and more). Our motto is simple: we bring customers in—and you bring them back. Along with revenue sharing Local Dines Maine invests into your restaurant with a full digital marketing & advertising program, including your choice of options such as: Eater Maine Digital Presence, Google 360 Business View Virtual Tour, PR Newswire Press Release, Monthly Social Media, Email Marketing, Customized Web Page on LocalDines.com, Customer Connection and more. At no cost, we provide a full media package (which you can leverage in your own social media or print channels as much as you like): HD Video: A fully-produced 30 second video which will be available on our website 24 hours a day. HD Photography: A full set of high resolution photos of your cuisine and restaurant interior/exterior. LocalDines.com aims to build a perfect working partnership with each restaurant that delivers results without impacting your high levels of service.
