Preview this book at: http://minervabloom.weebly.com/every-shade-the-garden.html Bilingual Haiga by Minerva Bloom. There are many moments that we often pass by and take for granted. Moments that vanish while our minds ruminate endlessly. All the while we miss what is right in front of us which is the present moment. To this end Minerva Bloom, a poet, artist & photographer, shows us the ancient art of haiga as Zen: tangible, concrete moments of time, crystallized in their essence in as few words as possible. In this book questions such as "What is haiku?", "Evolution of haiga" and "Being in The Moment" are explained. The modern haiga is presented in a bilingual format in the course of a 10 year study, mixing both bright or muted colors depending on the scene or emotion: a style of imagery that continues to expand the definitions of haiga.

from Night Kitchen Films Added 31 1 0

Ernie Kitchen was a regular wrong 'un, ran a stinking phosphorus-drenched match factory down Bethnal Green Rd, full of girls with crumbling jaw bones. But when he was turned into an eel, his personality underwent a change. He has become reflective, philosophical, writes haiku on the glass of his tank with his nose. He's written some especially for Imbolc.. From The Imbolc Blues by Roses Urquhart. Sharna Rose Bevan animates Ernie the Eel, Sophie Trott plays the Boy Bun, Roses Urquhart plays Ruby and Paul Frankish as Sammy the Jailer accompanies. Filmed live at Clerkenwell Theatre, London in Feb 2011 by Lucia Zoro.
