www.Ucon-Acrobatics.com www.Haw-lin.com The Artist Feature has been an integral part of our collection right from the beginning. For our latest FW'14 collection we teamed up with Nathan and Jacob from Haw-lin to create a very unique collection. Their inspiration derived from motocross and the sport’s logo decals seen strewn all over the bikes and helmets. This lead to the print and pattern designs. The cuts are oversized but tapered at almost every closure. Additionally, each piece is reversible and combines two different materials. The overall aim was to develop comfortable sports wear with a high end appeal that could stand apart yet easily fit in with Ucon Acrobatics’ sensibility. Using some of their favorite contemporary designers as reference points, the collection was modeled after their personal preferences of clothing and style. This is a little teaser for our launch event taking place at VOO store: on.fb.me/1tq7P2v Directed by: Haw-lin Services Cinematography by: Nicolai Niermann Sound by: Haw-lin Services © Ucon Acrobatics 2014 ® Ucon is a registered trademark of Ucon GmbH, Berlin

After School Club is a one-week graphic-design festival in April 2012. Alongside workshops with internationally known designers, the club hosts talks, symposiums and more. Everything will be located in the classrooms which are not used during the semester break. The festival is free of charge. A continuous workflow and a constant reflection on design is essential for developing your own personality. Working on concepts and their realization in groups, intensive research as well as meeting other creatives is the main focus during the festival. We think this experience is important and forward-looking and therefore want to incorporate and share it with others. In this way the After School Club functions as a free platform for encouragement and motivation of collaborative working. Once a year we occupy our university and transform it into a student-organised working space. In an overall count of six workshops lead by renowned designers you have the possibility to build up your networks with other students and stay in contact beyond the festival. Join in! ASC is a project by koenigsklasse (http://on.fb.me/ABW7Nj) and is initiated by Alexander Lis (http://alexanderlis.com/) & Prof. Eike König (http://www.hort.org.uk/).

Hard Copy is a propaganda project constituted around futuristic forms of disastrous mistranslation, tremendous cultish mannerism and friendly speculation on pre-fabricated life in post-industrial contexts – produced by the pleasure of having a rich family. This third edition of the exhibition series Bcc is co-curated by Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel and Raoul Zöllner in collaboration with Larry´s. Initiated by Aurélia Defrance, Julie Grosche and Aude Pariset, Bcc is a series of exhibitions based on the concept of curators materializing digital files sent by invited artists. This time contributors of many natures sharing a common background in contemporary visual culture will supply a curated selection of appropriated web-images as raw material. Artist and self-publishing-collective Larry´s will convert them into an edition of mess-produced spam-sculptures and a print on demand issue. Hard Copy is an investigation of the consumption culture of web-based images focusing on appropriation through de-and recontextualization of visual fragments as curation of the self and confusion of references, as a result of the heavy eclectic bastardization and universalization of globalized visual vocabulary.

Jacob and Nathan launched http://Haw-Lin.com in 2008 as an online mood board in order to have a space where the two designers could assemble visual artifacts from their daily research. Haw-lin.com quickly became known as one of the best, most visually innovative photo blogs; reborn as Haw-Lin Services, Jacob and Nathan began to apply their curatorial and aesthetic skills in collaborations.
