1. The Journey: A Cross-Country Time Lapse Adventure

    from Steven Fichtel Added

Time lapse, real-time, and sped-up video footage from my drive from the Southeast to the Northwest of the US, then down the Pacific Coast. Set to music I created recently while reflecting on this adventure and those yet to come.

Panasonic HDC-SD100 was one of the few consumer camcorders that could record in native 1080p24 mode. No pulldown, no interlaced container, but true film-like 24-fps progressive video. Too bad that newer Panasonic consumer camcorders have been deprived of this mode and use old school 2-3 pulldown instead. Recording mode: HA (17 Mbit/s), 1920x1080p24 (native progressive), shutter speed 1/48, aperture F4.0. I was able to use low shutter speed and wide aperture in daylight because I used the FaderND variable neutral density filter. Worked like a charm.

                      What are Tags?

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
