During the filing of the series "Life in a Tide Pool" ( http://www.lifeinatidepool.com ), we had the opportunity to visit the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium on three separate occasions. This is a video from the first visit where we meet with the director Heather Doyle, see a few of the exhibits and displays. The Aquarium has over 65 thousand visitors a year and is located at the base of the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles. We also get to learn about mussels and how important they are from the aquarium staff.
