The Interdisciplinarians is an original, lively and analog platform for conversations addressing contemporary design and art matters, that explores the interconnections of creative disciplines. Co-hosted by Zesty Meyers and Evan Snyderman of R20th C, a leading art+design TriBeCa gallery, and cultural engineer Laetitia Wolff, the dinner is conceived around a themed conversation that is current, engaging, and provocative. For our first dinner, a collaboration with award-winning photographer Henry Leutwyler and emerging interactive design talent Simeon Poulin allowed us to produce a photo-collage of the dinner, capturing the amazing energy of the conversation around the theme of learn and play, the delicious, artful and playful 5-course dinner chef Falai served us and Renate Müller’s strikingly universal toy design.

      • Contour by Getty Images presents Ballet by Henry Leutwyler

from Contour by Getty Images / Added

Contour by Getty Images’ projection Ballet by Henry Leutwyler is a small excerpt from his Taschen book of the same name, released earlier this year. In 2012, Leutwyler was granted unprecedented access to the NYC Ballet and spent months photographing behind-the scenes and in the rehearsal studio. He particularly focused on movement and unguarded moments. The experience left Leutwyler transfixed: "The photographs in this book are an ode to the brilliant men and women of the New York City Ballet. For inviting us to places we’ve forgotten and for effortlessly transporting us outside of our everyday selves. More than just dance, ballet is an expression of human emotion in all its forms—love, despair, passion, hope and most importantly, joy. " We are transfixed too.
