This was prepared as a gift to devotees for the 2012 Birthday to honor Sri Sathya Sai Baba, which took place on November 23rd, 2012. This is in remembrance of those Pujas (sacred offerings) to the Lord with Sai Baba in attendance. Sri Sathya Sai Baba's blessing is in this; in that he is Everywhere, Somewhere and Anywhere and at all times present. The Padhuga Worship is to honor the feet of the Lord; the basis and foundation for existence. For detailed explanations one should watch the separate video on the Golden Chariot in which detailed talks on the subject are given by Professor Anil Kumar. Documentary Videos of the events produced by Saican are also available created from the original VCD. These images have been additionally enhanced for contrast, gamma, color and resolution quality and the video clips cut to follow an esoteric or symbolical theme. For those who were unable to attend one of these Padhuga Pujas this provides an open door glimpse and an experience of the event itself. It will connect people to those who did attend, the energies of the events, and to the veneration and benefits that the events provided and make these current in the moment. It will awaken those thoughts and feeling; connect with their purposes; and provide insights otherwise left dormant and forgotten. For those who attended the Padhuga Puja this will bring you to the moment and help to reinforce the memories and sacred energies; as well as give them additional strength and objectivity. The depth for which one benefits are determined only by the attention given individually and as a group. They can go as deeply as one can imagine and they will also take on a life of their own. (as a group egregore) The purpose of these videos is to provide a living focus during recitations of divine names (Japa, Mantra or Namasmarana), they will focus the mind during breathing exercises (Pranayama). They have a life of their own in the sacred "cloud" of energies which they will help to invoke in the name of divinity. These provide a Kabalistic or living tantric image for the focus of attention as well, and can be used for any meditation or psychic exercise; during periods of prayer, reflection or meditation; like those to remember divine names, sacred words, letters, colors or intonations. The video segments are from several Sai videos, the bulk of which were produced by Saican for the Sai Padhuga Trust, Madhurai. The Mantras recorded by Saican were chanted by P.S. Jayaram Sastrikal the priest who conducted the Padhuga Puja at Prashanthi Nilayam. This is to remember all those who gave of themselves to create such an event and to make the world a recipient of the blessings that it provides. IL Y' Viavia - Viavia Vu

Acclaimed scholar of history, gender, and colonialism Tanika Sarkar joins BCRW for the third event in the annual Salon Series, which offers an opportunity to dive into the implications of texts that make a critical intervention in their field. In this conversation moderated by Anupama Rao, Neferti Tadiar, Winnifred Sullivan, and Abosede George respond to Sarkar’s latest work, “A Just Measure of Death? Hindu Ritual and Colonial Law in the Sphere of Widow Immolations,” which explores the relations among law, personhood and Hindu idioms of entangled selves in colonial India. The article discusses how gender and empire become entwined with religion and secularism as religious notions of ‘sacrifice’ and good widowhood interrupted British notions of the legal person. This event took place on April 16, 2013 at Barnard College in New York City.
