I had the privilege of meeting Ilona Werdiger while producing a documentary on the March of the Living in 1998. This 19 minute excerpt demonstrates the power of the March of the Living experience and the impact of the Survivors on the participants. Ilona was a lovely, intelligent, sensitive and strong woman who was willing to share her experiences as a Survivor of the Nazi Holocaust with teenagers who accompanied her to Poland. Despite, the personal hardship of traveling back to the Death Camps, Ilona understood the importance of sharing and in fact, felt it was her obligation to teach the next generation about the cruelty perpetrated by the Nazi's. Ilona passed away this month (October 2, 2011) and all who seek justice owe her a debt of gratitude. Those who stood with her at the Selection Point at Birkenau will never forget her words and will keep her message alive. Thank you Ilona and now you can truly rest in peace.

A lecture that Stella S. Yollin did for some high school students. Stella is a Holocaust Survivor. What she has to say is heartbreaking, and riverting. I helped produce this for the humanities department where I used to work. It was a one man crew type shoot with two cameras, and I used a wireless mike. Stella's story remains to this day one of the most powerful interviews I've ever had the honor to videotape.
