Baptisms took place after our Saturday service March 10th, 2012 at the Jack Purcell Community Centre pool conveniently located two floors down from where we hold our meetings. There were six people baptized. I got there too late to record the first one, sorry. The presence of God and vibrant faith and fellowship of His children is soo good. The testimony of the Lord, sure and His love for His people, evident. Lives changed, transformed and showing publicly the power of Jesus Christ to save, heal and deliver giving God the glory He alone deserves. What an awesome night, walking in the light! Grace and peace, Dan Woods Video was recorded on a point and shoot FujiFilm XP. Edited with iMovie. "Otherside" by Third Day edited on Studio One Pro.

Psalm 13, like Rosenberg’s “Whispers” is simple but profoundly struggles with subject matter that is both weighty and important. The Psalm can be broken down into three parts (stanzas); the first part (vv. 1-2) has the most lines, the second part (vv. 3-4) includes four lines, while the third part (vv. 5-6) has the least lines. James Montgomery Boice observes from this Psalm, “the form of the poem, as well as the subject matter, moves from the tumultuous and emotional beginning, through an increasingly calm prayer, to a final expression of trust in God and harmony.” What is true of both Rosenberg and the Psalmist is that they are both looking for something. Rosenberg is not sure what he is looking for, but knows he is missing it; the psalmist knows exactly what he is looking for, but feels abandoned. Rosenberg is not interested in “everyone’s” noise but instead longs for a whisper. The psalmist is tired of the quiet and wants God to speak to him.

Did you choose God or did He choose you? Though the debate has existed for centuries, today we take a fresh approach to discover what God, through Paul, has to say about it! Together we will discover why Paul wrote what he did, what it means and what it doesn’t mean. Perhaps you’ll find Paul has already answered some of our 21st century questions ! This and much more as we seek to examine Paul’s words on predestination, in part four of a four part series on Paul’s theology of salvation!
