A series of time-lapse sketches I took while apprenticing at Stone Barns Center for Agriculture. The greenhouse is a 1/2 acre. It is minimally heated therefore in the winter cold tolerant crops (like roots, spinach, lettuce, and mache) are grown. Music by Sussan Deyhim. Thank you to Jack Algiere and Christopher Harvey.

This greenhouse is truly green. Cutting edge building techniques, lighting, windows, and ventilation make this the greenhouse of the future. It is a research unit with many monitoring devices built into it. This is a collaborative effort between the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Synergistic Building Technologies (http://www.synergisticbuildingtechnologies.com/), and Cure Organic Farms in Boulder. They are still learning what works best and what can be improved.
