After our Remote Access Operation team in the Manaslu region came over Larkya La Pass, they visited a village called Samagaon. Some of the locals there told them about a small group of people a few minutes below Samagaon that had received little to no aid. Before team members Cody, Vibeke, and Jonathan flew out yesterday to come back to Kathmandu, they quickly went down to see what was needed. What they found was a quiet group of people that had inadequate shelter, hardly any food and some were in dire need of medical attention. Thankfully Jonathan had brought some tents that were donated to him for this exact reason. They went and grabbed those as well as found some bags of rice that was still available. As they set up this man's new home for him and his family, he had tears in his eyes. This is why we keep doing what we are doing here. These families assumed they had been overlooked as supplies dropped for distribution had not reached them. Without knowing that there are still people that need aid, many organisations assume that food has been distributed to all families in each VDC. Without boots on the ground, we would not find these small groups of people who so humbly hope that they will still receive food and aid. There was no animosity as our team came in to see what they needed, just gratitude that we had taken the time to find them. These are the stories that remind us how much Nepal still needs our help. In the remote mountain regions, many small villages sprinkle the hillsides, but are very difficult to see from the air. With our teams trekking through these areas, they are able to fully assess what is still needed and how we can help. Produced: Fenom Creative / Don Bowie Camera: Cody Tuttle Edit: Ryan Harris

Imam Bukhari Orphanage is located in the Nawabad Demazaang village of Kabul City, Afghanistan. Respected residents of the area, including Dr. Sulaiman Nessary, converted an unused mosque into an Orphanage in 2011. Since then, they have been serving hundreds of orphaned children in the community, free of charge. Recently, they have experienced difficulty in fulfilling financial obligations given their lack of funding. Dr. Nessary serves as the executive director of the orphanage and reached out to Zam Zam Water to assist in funding his students. During the month of Ramadan SN will be donating 10% of all their online sales to this charitable project. As part of our Ramadan efforts we are hoping to bring immediate relief and financial aid to these deserving children with your Zakat and Sadaqah dollars. Below is a breakdown of exactly how your money will be utilized. With your help you will not only save their life but protect their Imaan and yours.
