A single catch and a near-death experience to a Grand Cormoran bird, who was diving close by and risking its life! We were diving on the backside of the legendary 'Trekroner Fortress'. The fortress has back in history been used as a quarantine station for people with infectious diseases, and during The Fire of Copenhagen in 1728, thieves and other criminals were placed here where they could not cause injury. Later, during the Battle of Copenhagen (Slaget på Rheden) the fortress was equipped with 66 guns and manned by 660 men. Thanks to Trekroners effort Admiral Nelson failed to sail the English fleet all the way to Copenhagen. He prevailed nonetheless. During the first World War Trekroner was manned by 750 soldiers. The Defence system, which Trekroner was a part of, turned out to be outdated. Trekroner was after the war only used as a school fort and was abandoned in 1932. During the Second World War, the fort was used for accommodation for occupation. After the war, the fort was left empty until the State Building Conservation Fund in 1984 bought it for DKK 3! The Yellow Reef is a great fishing area, which is located between the Danish North West coast and the southern coast of Norway. The reef is aprox. 10 miles wide and 65 miles long, which corresponds to a width of 20 km and a length of 150 km. The depth outside the reef vary enormously, and therefore fished at different depths, which mainly vary between 25-70 meters. However, there are few places where there are deeper in some places up to a depth of 120 meters. http://ms-bodil.dk "humm ok" by Gablé (http://www.gableboulga.com/)
