Experimentations using digital and analog audio processing. Digital sound design is made using IanniX (http://www.iannix.org) + Kinect linked with MaxMSP using OpenSoundControl (OSC). Kinect measures distances in real world and modifies 3D space in IanniX. Each line affects the intensity of a resonator (filtering white noise) and parameters of Gendy synthesizer in MaxMSP. Analog and guitar sound is designed with Z.VEX Fuzz Factory Vexter I + MXR Phase 90 + Digitech Whammy II effects. Since 2011, the 311 Earthquake in Fukushima once again woke up the world attention on the nightmare of the nuclear disaster. Until now, there is no workable solution for Japan to fix the leaking problem. The highly radiated wastewater has to be released to the Pacific Ocean and keep contaminating the marine life and in the result of damaging the whole food chain. While, the Japan government keeps hiding the news and real situation of the radiation problem. The project aims at visualising the radioactivity and raise out the awareness to the public. RadianceScape is a data-visualizating sonic composition. It based on the live radiation data from the Safecast.org, a global sensor network for collecting and sharing radiation measurements, to generate an audio-visual cityscape. It appears in a point-cloud depth-mapping outlook in which the density of the radiation level is representing the visibility of the cityscape. The sonic composition is based on the captured data to generate different drone ambiance and noise. Barographic is a new site-specific composition which creates graphic scores from atmospheric pressure data, and uses the architectural form of the venue as an animated 3D sequencer. For the first phase of the project, a clockwork barograph will be installed to record the ‘atmosphere’ at The Sage Gateshead. Over the course of four weeks (March-April 2013), a series of graphs will be produced, charting changes in atmospheric pressure during the seasonal transition from Winter to Spring. This mechanised process will create the graphic scores which form the central elements of the new composition. Alongside these scores, the venue’s architectural structure acts as a 3D animated sequencer, creating melodies and rhythms that correspond to patterns that are inherent within the design of the building. The finished audio-visual piece will be performed live at The Sage Gateshead on Wednesday 26 June, as part of Festival of the North East. This project has received support from PRS For Music Foundation, Arts Council England, and Festival of the North East.

Interactive installation is made using IanniX (http://www.iannix.org) + KorgNano. KorgNano drives the morphings of curves and IanniX's cursors send their position through OpenSoundControl (OSC) to MaxMSP. Sound is made using some noise generators (Gendys, dusts, crackles, bank of sinusoidal oscillators) ; cursors position (x and y coordinates) are mapped on two parameters of each generator (x is sound projection — like panning — and y is the main parameter of the generetor). Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
