Some under ice views from beautiful lake Saarijärvi in Vaala, Finland. Divers: Fisherman: Eelis Rankka Fisherman's friend: Tommi Salminen Boy with the balloon: Jukka Pelttari Camera and editing by: Juuso Mettälä Manuscript by J. Mettälä and Eelis Rankka Safety divers: Esa Vuoppola and Juhana Heino Music: Stefano Mocini; The end of the doubs Couple of things about this video: Camera I used was Sony HDR-SR11 with Amphibico HD Elite housing. The Wheelbarrow was saved from the bottom of the lake and I have used it many times after that. The rubber duck and the balloon are also home with me. None of the divers got any permanent damage either. And yes, we had a lot of fun making this video. -Juuso

This is a short video about having a great day on a frozen lake. When I shot this I had no plan to make a video of it. I just filmed for fun but when I came home and looked at the shots, I really like the wibe in the pictures. So, here's "A day on the ice" Camera: A7s with Sony G 70-200 and Sony/Zeiss 16-35 Shot in PPT5 with some custom settings. www.kristofferdavidsson.com

Car drifting, ice fishing, and random stupidity is what this video is all about....for a random video it turned out pretty sick. Mostly GoPro used here. Twixtor was used for the super slow motion. I realize there is a GoPro attached to my buddies car but the battery died thats why there is no footage.

This was shot on Feb. 6th. 2010 at Petrie Island Orleans Ontario. The Petrie Island Ice Fishermen's Association. http://www.petrieisland.byethost32.com/videos.html This is 5 minutes away from where I live in Orleans. I had never been there but would always see them from the highway. This was a great opportunity to test the Canon 7D a third time. Everyone there was so nice and willing to be filmed ! Used a 50mm 1.4f lens + a tripod for every shot. My wife held an umbrella above me to block the strong sunlight. I need the Zacuto Z-Finder ! Music by Darcy Boucher Edited on a Macrosystem S-4100

Loonachic and my wife and I saw a couple people like this man ice fishing in this harbor in Chicago. These people seriously needed an ice fishing hut because the wind was fierce (as you can tell from the sound).

                from Hemmings House / Added

“MELTING LANDS” is a documentary that explores the affects of Global Warming in a small community in the Canadian North. The ice is melting faster every year. “Melting Lands” documents how this affects the Inuit peoples of the Nunavik community named Kangiqsujuaq (how they live, how they eat, how they survive), animal life (how the melting ice has affected caribou, polar bears, seals, fish, birds etc), nature (how the warming temperatures have introduced new species of plants, insects etc), and the economy (how the warming temperatures affect the cost of imported food, transport etc.). Artfully shot, this documentary revolves around the stories of a group of Inuit villagers: hunters, elders, fishermen and other residents. The viewer will be able to have an insider's look at the every day lives of these people in a way that would not be possible otherwise. "Melting Lands" follows hunters on their hunt, fishermen catching fish by boat and by ice, elders and children, and even takes the cameras under the sea ice at low tide filming the tradition of under ice mussel picking. Through the experience of following these characters, the viewer can have a good understanding about how this community of people are living TODAY in 2008 and how, through their perspective and experience, climate change is forcing them to adapt to new ways of living.

Had to test under ice fishing with my GoPro. Sadly the WiFi did not work too well from under the ice, so I couldn't have a live view on my iPhone. Music: The Look by Metronomy ( http://open.spotify.com/track/6taITnWpKZ8cQBO1BCkqrN )
