SNITT is a concept which is both a specific construction technique and an investigation into inter-disciplinary design processes. SNITT #1 explored the concept as a bench and sculptural dividing wall. Here we fused architec- ture, set production, furniture design and pattern design to create a unified, tactile and usable object. (Exhibited during Clerkenwell Design Week, London 2012.) SNITT #2 is a development of the concept, here we are testing new relationships with record producers, architects, furniture designers and animators. The sculptural object is adapted to fit within the spacial constraints but the sectional technique remains the same. (Commissioned by the National Museum.) The future for this project will be to develop different uses for SNITT. We are currently commis- sioned to develop #3 as a large furniture and interior concept for a council public space. Perhaps #4 will be an entire building facade and #5 packaging for a new fragrance.

Part of the documentation for my ongoing art piece, The Pink Slip Project, currently in Brattleboro Museum's exhibition, 'Hot Pot: A Taste of Contemporary Chinese Art.' This video shows me preparing some of the artifacts for the installation, the outdoor installation, and then views of visitors to the indoor installation at the Museum. The 'pink slip' bowls are made with a papier mache of shredded 'pink slip' documents using traditional Chinese rice paste. Each pink slip garment was sewn by me and then sewn into the arrangement that is installed outside the Museum. The performance artist, painted by Lauryn Welch, to camouflage with the exhibit was an unexpected surprise (thank you, Lauryn and friends) at the opening event.
