To entertain shoppers, we created an app bundle that puts them in the world of XFINITY. Since the best way to learn is by doing, our apps put shoppers in the driver’s seat. The X1 Platform demo lets you experience new ways to watch TV. The XFINITY Home app let’s you control your home while you’re away. We also showed shoppers how to use the new TV Go app and test the speed of their home internet. Plus, we created a few entertaining games like the Super Bowl Quiz and the Hidden Object Game. The app bundle now lives on hundreds of iPads nationwide. In the first eight months the app bundle saw nearly a million interactions, and more customers are upgrading their service in-store.

There is a bidirectional relation between the rhythms of cities and its dwellers. This relation is more visible in chaotic cities like Istanbul. Istanbul has its own addictive and chaotic vibe. As a result of its geographical, social, cultural and religious properties, Istanbul has a unique soundscape. If you look at the different parts of the city, you would see that even if some elements are more dominant than the others, they are indistinguishable, which is also reflected to the recordings. The recordings are classified into three different groups (bazaar, traffic and music), and assigned to different chairs. The recordings are manipulated by the rhythms of individual users, which is their heart rate. The Eyestalkers are a colony of watchful eyes. They stare unblinking from their window out into the world, tracking all passersby walking to and from the city centre. The staring eyeballs on stalks are there as a visible manifestation of all the invisible surveillance people are walking into when they go into the city, like the many hidden cameras or systems tracking your phone. The Eyestalkers aim to create a tangible sense of being watched, to bring the surveillance out into the open, to create that necessary and warranted sense of paranoia that is lacking because of the elusive nature of modern surveillance. Because of their erratic, jerky movements they are real eyecatchers, so they are seen by all while seeing all. Music: Amon Tobin Track: Wires & Snakes Taken from "Bricolage" All credit go to the producer, Amon Tobin and his record label Ninja Tune.
