Anna Chan: Anti-Beijing Olympic protests have continued in Seoul since last Sunday, where student Beijing Olympic supporters were violent during the Olympic torch-relay there. Let's see what's going on. South Korean civic group members and students have staged a series of anti-Chinese rallies since Sunday's Beijing Olympic torch relay in Seoul. Chairman of Korea University's student body led about 20 students to the rally site on the May Day holiday. [Jeong Soo-hwan, Protest Leader]: "Some Chinese people used violence at the torch relay sites, right? The Chinese government has not officially apologized for this. So we are here to demand their apology." After the peaceful rally, two student representatives placed a protest letter into the mailbox of the Chinese consulate. In addition to the student protests, South Korea's foreign ministry voiced its concern to the Chinese ambassador in Seoul over violent incidents during the torch relay in the capital. And according to police, and investigation is underway. Anti-Beijing Olympic protests have embarrassed China's Communist Party, prompting some Chinese abroad to rally behind Beijing during the relay's journey through Asia. In Seoul, thousands of the Chinese students were bussed in from around the country for pro-Beijing rallies in the heart of the city. Beijing Olympic supporters used violence during the torch relay, leaving at least one photojournalist and one policeman injured. Many other civic group members insist they were also beaten by pro-Beijing Olympic supporters.

And today in South Korea a special counsel is questioning the chairman of the Samsung Group. They are investigating possible corruption at the corporate giant. Here's more on this. Prosecutors asked Chairman Lee Kun-hee to appear for questioning today. He is answering allegations made by a former Samsung employee... that the company bribed officials to stop investigating questionable management practices. Demonstrations for and against the chairman were on hand as Lee arrived. Half a dozen members of the Democratic Labor Party are demanding that Lee be jailed during the investigation. [Kim Jong-man, Democratic Labor Party]: "There's an argument that the special counselors have been investigating this case just for a face-saving tactic in favor of Samsung. The special counselors should make their position clear and this re-summons should play a decisive role to find the truth with Samsung matters. This is what I am thinking now." The Samsung employee alleges more than $200 million U.S. dollars were kept for bribing officials. The company has called the accusations groundless.

With a distinct lack of places to investigate in my area, we decided to check out a local cemetery. I wasn't expecting to find anything out of the ordinary with there being no stories attached to the place so i was surprised with what happened. Originally made for www.gettinspooky.com

This is a three story building on the site of the old Lord Mayor Treloars hospital in Alton, England. It's now a housing estate but the house still stands. My brother told me that a friend of his, who lives nearby, said that voices have been heard coming from the house. I thought it was probably just kids that had got in there but it was worth checking out and i'm glad we did! Originally made for www.gettinspooky.com
