Only few will find this video speaking of itself, in fact, there’s so much to tell .. Projects recorded vary from websites to desktop applications, no matter how they look like, they all had the same scenario: 1. Specific business field to be analyzed and highlighted. 2. Maintained business identity throughout elegant and clean user interface. 3. Interactive design demonstrates ease of access to all information available. It’s more about what and why rather than how .. I may found Flash and ActionScript a good choice to deliver the necessary experiences, considering Flash Player the most interactive platform, plus the cross-browser compatibility feature (minimum browsers testing hassle), yet the point still about delivering specific user experiences, which was the most important task for each project .. Analyzing and planning that task consumed more effort than the technical implementation aspect, regardless of using Flash or not .. The reason behind doing both aspects (design and development) is simply the limited resources capable of producing what I have in mind in terms of user experiences, at least in my country .. One day, when I have access to the proper resources, I may be able focus on my precious part only .. Aiming to concentrate my efforts to design for the best user experience .. Note: all websites content are property of their clients, only demonstrating Usability Engineering, UI Design and Development ..

Video-storyboard that describes my thesis project for Visual and Multimedial Communication degree at IUAV university of Venice. April 2009. TRACE allow people to create routes geotagging "step" (stage) of different entities (places or event); share more routes with people; contribute individually to broadening routes yet exist, characterizing and making them unique. It's based on GPS and LBS technology, utilize Collaborative Filtering's algorithm and instruments to create an UGC ambient. In this case the storyboard shows some activities of TRACE within the Natural Park of Castelli Romani (near Rome). Thanks to Philip Tabor and Gillian Crampton Smith. Thanks to Valeria Donati. Thanks to the cast: Marco Morici, Martina Vischetti, Massimo Pastori, Giulia Nardi, Lorenzo Lupi. Music by Badly Drawn Boy (I Love NYE)

Sketch a tune is a web application for an interactive radio community with a social network mind-set. Sketch a tune starts from the analysis of the Italian radio programme Eclettica (DJ: Giulio Caperdoni); it aims to provide a catalyst for the flux of the DJ’s and listeners’ info/sensations. Music is the core of the project especially as Sketch a tune becomes a bridge between us and our emotions.

For a potential new project I was re-invigorating an old project to produce a proof-of-concept using Google's cross-plattform ZXing QRcode reader library in a client/server setup much like reacTIVision or tbeta operate. For now I've created a bridge to wrap Processing's PImage (and camera capture) objects and so allow them to be used with ZXing. The server side is running the video capture & marker recognition and then broadcasts the decoded QR code along with its centroid's XY coordinates to connected clients. At this stage it's just using a proprietary message format over standard TCP, however it would make sense to integrate this into a TUIO architecture in the future. It'd even be interesting to do more with the actual corner point coordinates of the marker since in theory this should provide the same perspective information as traditional AR markers. Though QR codes as AR markers would allow for all sorts of new use cases also in this field (e.g. the code itself could point to a URL from which the 3D model to be displayed is to be downloaded from - no more locally known markers only...) Comments & further discussion very much appreciated, please get in touch! Btw. The super low framerate of this video is purely down to the screencasting software used. The software currently runs at 32fps using a PS3 Eye cam @ 640x480 video stream... http://zxing.googlecode.com/ Source code for the above demo available from here: http://pspctclr.com/hg

An Experience Prototype exercise...experiencing disabilities. Diego is a student who can't walk after his "skiing" accident...a chair with wheels and endless hope keeps him on the go... Chad is a student who was born deaf...he's never heard a thing in his life...and never will...the headphones are purely decorative... Eric is a blind student...an accident in a chemistry lab has left him permanently blind to try and go from building to building in perpetual darkness... Don't take it too seriously -- the music was added to add a necessary element of "dramatic sadness"....entirely on purpose cos we just wanted to have a laugh!... Enjoy.
