It's time for the 2014 Annual Campaign and we want to engage and involve every member of our Omaha Jewish Community. Our goals are a 5% increase in pledges and 150 new gifts to build our donor base. In doing so, we recognize the Jewish Federation of Omaha Annual Campaign as the most significant way to make a difference in Jewish lives here at home, in Israel and around the world. Through engagement, education and promotion, our community is made aware of programs and services available via campaign dollars and we recognize the Jewish Federation of Omaha as a meaningful and important place to invest one's time, effort and philanthropy. As Jews, it is our responsibility to care for one another and for those less fortunate. A lesson taught from generation to generation, L‚Dor V‚Dor. The Federation's Annual Campaign is about more than raising money. It is about helping people across our community fulfill the mitzvah of Tzedakah-the commandment to act righteously. Money raised through the Annual Campaign benefits thousands of Jewish people in Omaha, across the United States, in Israel, in Argentina, in the Former Soviet Union, in Ethiopia, and in more than 60 other countries around the world by: • Feeding the hungry • Educating the young • Caring for the old • Comforting the sick • Counseling the troubled • Rescuing the oppressed • Providing a voice for those unable to speak • Offering vital assistance to those unable to meet their own basic needs

ZK: Right now we are preparing for Purim and I have one question: There is this quote that the city of Shoshan was perplexed. And I feel that right now we feel so much pressure on us, that we feel perplexed or kind of we do not know what to do, we feel it is too much, and we do not know the next step. How can we exit this state of perplexity where we are scared of the big monster coming toward us. Michael Laitman: We simply need to make an effort to connect. We have no other solution, no other action that we need to do. This is how it is written in the wisdom of Kabbalah, that explains the structure of the world, the structure of the human society and our place there and that is why there is nothing else to do, just connection. We need to realize this. We also have the knowledge of how to do it and organizing in tens, different exercises, called workshops, and this is what we need to do. I am very happy that we have a lot of groups around the world that most of them include non-Jewish people in there but all our friends are my students. They approach all Jewish organizations around the world and they teach. There is a situation where the nations of the world teach the Jewish people what to do in order to fulfill the Jewish obligation or duty. But the Jewish people need to bring all of humanity and with this truly we reach days that the prophecy of Jesharjahu. He writes that the nations of the world will bring the Jewish people on their shoulders to Jerusalem to build the temple and what we see is we receive reports from around the world that my students that are part of the nations of the world through their nationality they disseminate to Jewish people, what the Jewish people need to do. That I have great hope that we are in the end of corrections: When the upper light works it works and does it very easily in a very short period of time. Maybe it seems to us in our powers, in our view how it is still far and who knows how it is possible to realize it. This we measure in our powers but through the power of light which created everything and governs simultaneously reality. There is nothing difficult, there is no obstacle of time. We can do everything simultaneously and everywhere. Let us hope, I am very optimistic. Through what I see in this world and in the spiritual world, how these worlds are getting closer, I am happy.

ZK: You are saying that there is a possibility that if we do not fulfull our role that there will be second holocaust or even worse things to happen? If I go to my friends in Europe and I tell them, listen we have to connect, they just laugh. How can they connect with each other? Practically... Michael Laitman: We should not speak about this with the nations of the world. We need to connect between us, between the Jewisch people, and if we fulfill this, .... a fact the nations of the world and they will not even know where it comes from. All of a sudden they will feel that they want it. Like today, all of the nations are governed by upper supervision, we will give the supervision to connect them, we will affect the connection. This is how it will work. We are the ones who have the free choice, we need to fight our nature, to be connected, and then through us, the upper force through connection will pass to all the nations of the world.

ZK:You were saying that our neighbours are cousins who need to support us, after we reach this state of connection. Yesterday in the media we saw that in Oslo a lot of young Muslims made a human chain around the temple, a Jewish temple, and they said we want to protect our brothers. We are saving them. Do you think that this is the first time of correction, was this an act of unity? Michael Laitman: No, I think it is a political act. I heard something about it. Also I heard afterwards that their leader said, something about this explosion that we had, in that 9/11 that Jewish people made it and all different kinds. Menaing he was confused, he speaks anti Israeli usually, even anti sematic, does not even have to do anything with Israel but Jewish people, he puts all these troubles on them, world troubles that it is clear we see it as clear as the Al Quaeda act but I do not know, in general I do not ... I understand that if someone smiles at a Jewish person around the world we are enthusiastic and we erase all the troubles and we act that everything is ok, but it is completely untrue. We need to see these things that world nature is anti Jewish and anti Israeli until Jewish people and Israeli people will not fulfill their obligation, their duty. I do not care if it is Obama or that leader that organized that thing in Oslo or anything else, I do not believe anyone, I do not need to look at these things. I look at the process that we need to go in creation and I understand it all, it depends on us, not on them that if we would do the necessary things to correct the world, everything will work out for the best for us and all the world. We here are the only ones that can act.
