Problem: I wanted Don't Panic to offer me a creative intern role, I needed to stand out from the other applicants and be remembered by them. Insight: Everyone likes an award ceremony (especially in advertising) Solution: To demonstrate that I am right for the position by borrowing a tuxedo belonging to one of my dad’s friends and presenting Don't Panic with the first ever Poor Man’s Oscar (ok not quite an Oscar but an award that I have made specially) to demonstrate that I think Don’t Panic is at the top of their game in creating shareable and often disruptive content that is engaging, fun, brave and insightful whilst not being pretentious. I will film the presentation and demonstrate to Don’t Panic that I am proud to be awarding them with the first ever Poor Man’s Oscar by sharing the resulting films online #PoorMansOscar’s
