You have at least one thing in common with everybody else: you’re getting older. One of the characteristics of every member of the human race is that we age. And aging often brings with it a confusing mixture of emotions and physical constraints. While old age eventually results in death, getting older doesn’t have to be a death sentence. God speaks of a kind of honor associated with old age and a contribution you can make even into your twilight years.

We live in a world where we are conditioned to go as frantically fast as we possibly can. And sometimes without even realizing it, we exert the same velocity in trying to satisfy God. We reason, the faster we go the further we’ll go. But running fast all the time yields exhausting consequences. Sometimes the secret to accomplishing more is found in doing less. It’s a strange path to success but it’s one that embraces the rest of God. Speaker : Joe Duke

Jesus’ offer of salvation in its basic form is the believing of Jesus for eternal life. As Jesus prepares to enter the city of Jerusalem for the final week of His life, He sends a clear message about His power to resurrect. As a preview to His own resurrection, Jesus raises His friend Lazarus from the dead. Just a few days prior to His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the now raised-from-the-dead Lazarus enjoys a meal with Jesus and others. Lazarus’ sister, Mary, anoints Jesus’ feet with extremely costly oil. The next day, Jesus and His disciples arrive in the city and are greeted by cheering crowds. Jesus shares a meal with the disciples. There, He explains a new symbol. Bread would represent Jesus’ body. The cup would be a reminder of His blood. It’s a symbol that serves as a lasting reminder for all of us today.
