Produced in 1951 by the United States Navy “This is Korea!” is directed by Academy Award winner John Ford. At the time John Ford, widely regarded as one of the most important and influential American filmmakers, was serving active duty in the United States Navy as a Rear Admiral. The documentary is unique for its time in that it was filmed in color and of course it contains Ford’s many signature, stylistic trademarks. We present this re-issued documentary in an effort to remember the time when one Korea became two and examine our outlook of the unfolding situation at the time. Or, at least the outlook the US Navy and director John Ford had… Hopefully it will add to and help continue the debate on how to achieve a peaceful, free, united, Korea. We have improved the video quality and modified the aspect ratio for better viewing. Please enjoy.

More about MY TRIBUTE TO HOLLYWOOD: With this video I will pay as much attention as I can pay for one of the best WESTERN ever. I mean from the point of my view. But if you follow this movie with your heart -- You will know what I'm talking about. It is also my DECLARATION OF LOVE TO HOLLYWOOD and to some of his amazing movie actors and directors. I tell you what. During this creation I had always some tears running over my face. The scenes are so dense and full of drama and all actors played straight into my heart. This video has nothing to do with a simple gunfight. This film has emotional depth and one scene belongs to the next step by step. These kinds of films will never come back again. WHY? The reason is simple and you know it. The world has changed in many ways. But one thing will never change. STRAIGHT AND LOYAL PEOPLE. You can find them. Not so often like years before. But you can find them. A SPECIAL TRIBUTE ALSO TO: The awesome composer ENNIO MORRICONE. My deepest respect for you, SIR...and SPECIAL DEDICATION TO: The Texas Cactus Rose and what she stands for. Thank you for watching this video and for your attention. May God bless and protect you, my friend. Please. Have a wonderful time with this video. Your friend Chuck

This video essay examines the representation of the frontier in John Ford's Westerns. Ford's visual poetics illustrate Frederick Jackson Turner's conception of the frontier as "the meeting point between savagery and civilization." Ford's films, in this regard, allow us to explore seminal foundational concepts of America history and ideology. The essay has been published on Film Studies for Free: http://filmstudiesforfree.blogspot.com/2012/10/rollin-rollin-rollin-video-studies-of.html "John Ford's Vision of the West" was made according to principles of Fair Use (or Fair Dealing), primarily with scholarly, critical, and educational aims. "John Tyler: Getaway Driver" is an action adventure spin on the classic tale of our 10th President John Tyler. The year is 1841, William Henry Harrison is President, and he's dying. The doctor's theory is pneumonia, brought on by a sleet ridden, epic two hour inaugural address. If he passes, the Constitution states that the Vice President shall inherit the presidency. But Vice President John Tyler can't imagine simply inheriting the hardest job in the world, even his wife thinks he'd ruin it. Can John Tyler save President Harrison and avoid four years of being the goddamned President?
