http://www.gty.org/video/international/RU-V8280-310 English Title: Taking the Mystery out of Knowing God's Will (Selected Scriptures) John MacArthur (Russian)

http://www.gty.org/video/international/RU-V8242-239 English Title: A Sinner Meets a Seeking Savior, Part 2 (Luke 19:1-10) John MacArthur (Russian)

          • ¿Abandono Dios a nuestra nación? John MacArthur

            05:33

            from Lumbrera Added 130 0 0

              01:02:19

              from John MacArthur Added

http://www.gty.org/resources/sermons/90-382 We're going to return to our look at Hebrews chapter 11...Hebrews chapter 11, as we have...embarked upon the study of the power of faith, a very foundational study in every sense. In fact, this chapter was written originally under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to help some people who perhaps did not fully understand salvation by faith to understand it better. It was written to some Jews who constituted a congregation somewhere in Israel. They had come to faith in Christ but perhaps didn't fully understand the reality of faith and the role that has always played in salvation. And then, of course, the congregation also had some people there who were a part of the congregation, hanging on the edges who had not yet embraced Christ fully, were still trying to consider this matter of salvation by faith. The reason that was such a dramatic change for them was because Jewish people had been raised, literally, for centuries in a perversion of Old Testament Judaism, a system of religion that taught them that salvation came to those who earned it...who earned it. And so it's important for them to realize that salvation is by faith alone, not by works, "For by grace are you saved through faith, that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God not of works lest any man should boast," Ephesians 2:8 and 9 says. So chapter 10 ends with a quote, famous quote from the Old Testament, "The just shall live by faith," or "My righteous ones shall live by faith," verse 38. We then, verse 39 says, are not of those who shrink back to destruction. We don't come all the way to the edge of this understanding of the gospel and salvation by faith, and then feel the pull of Judaism and legalism and fall back into destruction, but rather we persevere in faith to the salvation of the soul....

http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/80240B Muhammad said that the Jews had been rejected by Allah and cursed. And Muhammad said the duty of the Muslims is to subjugate everybody to Allah, including the Jewish infidels if needed by holy war. Obviously through the years and centuries it's not all people who believe Islam are vicious and killers, not all of them, by far. But Muhammad was a very evil person and a very aggressive, in fact a deadly person. And so there is plenty of warrant in the system for those people who want to conduct themselves in that fashion. One of the Islamic leaders of our nation said the other day on television, "These radicals have literally hijacked the entire religion for their own ends." But they can find in it a justification for what they do because it is inherent in Islam that they must make people convert by whatever means. The truth of the matter is that as we live today Islam is currently the most powerful system on earth for the destruction of biblical truth and Christianity and is the main persecutor of Christians all over the world...in the Middle East and in Africa. Thousands of Christians are dying under this persecution. You see, for Islam the world is divided into two parts...Dar el Salaam, house of peace, where Allah rules. And Dar el Harb, house of war where infidels live. It's either peace, you succumb to Allah, or it's war...

http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/80240A On Tuesday we all saw the most deadly attack on America ever and the images are imbedded deeply in our minds at this time and probably will remain for a long time. Death and devastation of such monumental proportions that it makes the attack on Pearl Harbor the only comparison that we can think of. At Pearl Harbor there were just under 4,000 people killed, almost all of them military people. Tuesday we now know there were more than 4,000 people killed and all of them essentially civilians. Pearl Harbor has long been the icon for assaults on this nation. No more, at least no more will it be that singular icon because in the future the terrorist attack on New York City and Washington D.C. on September 11 in the year 2001 is the new bench mark. And before we're through counting the dead, it may well double the dead or more at Pearl Harbor. And this not by a nation, not by an alliance of nations but a clandestine group of itinerant terrorists from the Middle East. Now we all know what happened. In our immediate dominated age we don't lack for visual images or verbal explanations. Four hijacked American domestic airliners headed from the east coast to the west coast were hijacked and flown on a collision course to a specific target meant to kill people, cripple the nation, devastate the economy, damage the military. The idea was to send America a message that there was a greater force than America, a greater power than the super power America. An extremist, Islamic, suicidal group of murderers were asserting themselves as more powerful than this great nation. Two of the planes flying with full fuel hit their targets with catastrophically destructive accuracy, flying full force into the World Trade Center towers in New York City and causing them to plummet to the ground. One airliner hit the Pentagon and several hundred people were killed. Another never reached its target, whatever that might have been. And we all know the details of what happened. But our minds cry out to know why it happened. In fact, it seems to me in America we are obsessed with why things happen. Whenever there is an airplane crash, whenever there is a crime of newspaper proportions, we want to know why these things happen. We have all of these agencies and all of the analysts and psychologists and criminologists, people who study all of the details trying to find a motive for why these things happen. Why do people do these kinds of things? I'm going to try to give you answers to that and I have so much swimming around in my mind, I'm going to try to bring some order and command to my thoughts. I will only be able to do that if I stick pretty closely to what I've written...

Luke chapter 18 verses 35 through 43. Listen as I read. "And it came about as He was approaching Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting by the road begging. Now hearing a multitude going by began to inquire what this might be. And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he called out, saying, 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.' And those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet. But he crying out all the more. 'Son of David, have mercy on me.' And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He questioned him. 'What do you want Me to do for you?' And he said, 'Lord, I want to regain my sight.' And Jesus said to him, 'Receive your sight. Your faith has made you well.' And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God. And when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God."...

http://www.gty.org/resources/sermons/90-448 What a privilege and joy it is to worship the Lord here at Grace Church. Patricia and I miss it when we're not here. There's no place like this. Our hearts are full to overflowing to be back with you and celebrating the greatness of our God and the glory of Christ with you. What a blessing. While we were gone the last couple of weeks, we were exposed to the two conventions that were held: the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention. And I know that politics is the topic among many people today, and I suppose that's natural since it is such a huge part of media exposure. And as you know, I'm not one to talk about politics as such, but I was essentially amazed that one of the historic parties here in the United States adopted the sins of Romans 1 as their platform. This is a new day in our country. Parties which used to differ on economics now differ dramatically on issues that invade the realm of God's law and morality. In an ideal situation, their platform would mean that the government passes out condoms so people can fornicate at will. For those who happen to get pregnant in the process, platform advocates that you kill the baby at the will of the mother, up and including the ninth month. At the same time, it advocates a homosexual marriage, which is an oxymoron, an utter impossibility, and a gross violation of the law of God. And then to add to that, the murder of abortion, and then a platform originally leaving God out. All of that's Romans 1. Romans 1 says God will judge, God has judged throughout human history, nations that experience sexual freedom. Romans chapter 1 lays that out clearly: the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against those who advocate sexual freedom, sexual conduct outside of marriage. And that's an indication of the demise of a nation....
