Between the Lines is having our Doc Ignite party at 99 Sudbury, a cool event space in the hip West Queen West/Parkdale neighbourhood on August 24/2012. We asked some artists to put up some pieces during the Market on Sunday afternoons. Joel Richardson was first up with his latest SUITMAN stencil. He's had a series of his commissioned work come down but this time, something else came down on the artist!

Thanks for watching! We appreciate any support you can give to help us complete our film through our online fundraising campaign with Hot Docs Ignite. To support, please visit: http://www.hotdocs.ca/docignite/project/between_the_lines In 2011, Toronto declared a War on Graffiti. Leading the anti-graffiti campaign is the city’s most bombastic and belligerent mayor in recent history. A middle aged, SUV driving businessman who demands conformity with his suburban view of the city and fears what he does not understand. On the other side of the war artists struggle to defend graffiti’s anarchist and anti-social soul while accepting corporate commissions, attending gallery openings of their work and getting a taste of the security commercial artists enjoy...but at what cost? We’ve been following the stories of street artists including Deadboy, Spud, and Joel Richardson for more than a year as they teeter between cashing in and selling out. Between the Lines will bring you all the kick-ass drama of a graffiti flick with some insights about how the art world is changing rebel artists… and how they might be changing It. Now we need your help getting this film done. Ignite our doc. Go to Hot Docs Doc Ignite! Thanks to CATL, The Roncy Boys, and Elliot Brood for the tracks in our video! Find us on...
