With the iPad release a mere few weeks away, it’s only appropriate that we release our own bit of goodness. Together with co-directors Cory Strassburger and Ming Hsiung, we produced a motion magazine cover and feature spread for Viv Mag - an all digital magazine, which would allow us to create content that will be able to live on the iPad and other tablet devices where digital magazines can live. Check out this featurette, which goes behind the scenes and shows how we put it all together. Special thanks to Campion for taking a risk with me. Without the bravery of a good client, we wouldn’t be able to bring you work of this caliber. It may only be a paper moon sailing over a cardboard sea, but it isn’t make believe in Troublemaker’s latest production. Lucas Zanotto helms this colourful project that was commissioned by DDB China to showcase the versatile Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. The TV spot embraces the Paperwhite’s fusion of technology and the evocative macrocosm of the written word with physical puppetry complimented by hand-drawn computer animation. A student documentary project completed in April 2012. Note: Having received recurring criticism regarding my poor audio editing skills, I hope to be lucky enough to find someone to salvage as much of it as possible when I revisit this project at a later date. Thank you to everyone who has continued to share this film despite it being difficult to listen to. Interviewees in order of appearance: Joanne Saul, Type Books (http://typebooks.ca/) Stephen Fowler, Monkey's Paw Bookshop (http://monkeyspaw.com/) Stan Bevington, Coach House Books (http://www.chbooks.com/) Brian Morgan, The Walrus Magazine (http://walrusmagazine.com/) Don Taylor, Don Taylor Bookbinding (www.dontaylorbookbinder.com) Michael Torosian, Lumiere Press (www.lumierepress.com) Akemi Nishidera, KOZO Studio Gallery (http://kozostudio.blogspot.com) George Walker, Biting Dog Press & OCADU (http://www3.sympatico.ca/george.walker/) Special thanks to: Craig Black, for letting me peruse Don Black Linecasting (www.donblack.ca/) & Paul, for allowing me to film at Eliot's Bookshop. And a big thank you to my capstone professor, Grahame Lynch, who was my mentor and advisor through the whole process. All music licensed through http://www.audionetwork.com/ This documentary is a humble exploration of the world of print, as it scratches the surface of its future. I consider this a work in progress. It is built upon interviews with individuals who are active in the Toronto print community and questions whether or not they expect to see the disappearance of the physical book within our lifetime. The act of reading a “tangible tome” has evolved, devolved, and changed many times over, especially in recent years. I hope for the film to stir thought and elicit discussion about the immersive reading experience and the lost craft of the book arts, from the people who are still passionate about reading on paper as well as those who are not. Please feel free to leave a comment below or email me directly at epiloguedoc@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you!

http://www.amazon.com/How-Gain-Wealth-Just-Word-ebook/dp/B00FTUFPHO Tired of money issues? Or know someone with money issues? Or want to learn the inner workings of the subconscious mind when it comes to money/wealth? Everyone defines wealth in a different way. Every person has personal wealth. Wealth is subjective. Tap your inner CHA-CHING! Thousands and thousands of people are enjoying and being inspired by the ebook, How To Gain Wealth With Just One Word. Here are some reviews: I was surprised when I learned what the one word is but once I found out and started using it as outlined I received a check in the mail for a substantial amount of money the next week. This book has transformed my life within a week of reading it. I'm booking gigs, feeling more confident, finding more avenues and doors opening up for me. I am so grateful for the re-conditioning of how I saw money and wealth. I believe in this book and the message inside. If you are looking to change the way you see wealth, get this book, and change your life for the better! It was nice to read something positive, real world (if there is such a thing), and long enough to be poignant with superfluity. A fine read for a boost of hope. Gene Geter's book is inspirational and uplifting. It focuses on helping people to reprogram their minds in order to prosper more financially. It reminds me of The Secret, with a more focused approach as it deal primarily with finances. It really is good for people who struggle with negative thinking patterns and for those who do not understand how thoughts are powerful and will attract what you think about the most, especially when it comes to financial circumstances. An easy, well written book that everyone should read. Gene Geter offers an excellent overview of the secrets of the universe and the workings of our subconscious mind, with a brilliant, albeit almost-seems-too-easy, way to attract wealth. He makes no false promises regarding the amount. He generously shares the insights he's learned throughout his lifetime. For the price, it may be the best return on investment ever. The conscious being listened to by the sub-conscious! Great book for personal wealth. The point here made by the author is NOT about how to be a millionaire by wishful thinking, but about how we can nurture psychological practices to self-enhance and form a type of persona that attracts more positive future events. I feel sorry for those who just don't get the logic conveyed in this book. After looking at a couple of negative reviews here, I think some people just don't get it and thus they don't change themselves to be better. They are just stuck in their own little world. Close-mindedness and being stubborn won't get you anywhere. Be open-minded and you can learn lessons from this book. Stop being a hater, and take the lessons that will work the best for you. God bless. Simple but powerful. Thank you for sharing. So true!! A lesson in humanity and every day life. Easy to read. Very concise and well written book that basically reiterates subjects from people like Neville, Joseph Murphy and Claude Bristol. It is a good introduction on using your subconscious mind with appropriate action to build wealth. Gave it 5 stars. About the Author Gene Geter is a photographer, author and former entertainment columnist. He has photographed tons of models, artists and musicians including Bianca Golden (America's Next Top Model), Kahshanna Evans and Laurence Yang. Geter has also interviewed Prince, Alicia Keys, Jessica Alba, Robin Thicke, Kristin Kreuk, Aaliyah, Usher, Snoop Dogg and Jada Pinkett Smith. He has published novellas, poetry and photography books. Geter is also a videographer, directing, writing and producing videos on YouTube and Vimeo.
