Kirk Cameron, who rose to stardom on the ‘80s sit-com ‘Growing Pains’, has become a passionate apologist for the Christian faith, teaming up with such leaders as Ray Comfort on various evangelistic outreach projects. Cameron was a special guest speaker at the 2012 Christian Filmmakers Academy, and he explained to students the sovereignty of God in salvation: “You didn’t find the Lord; He wasn’t lost. You were, and He found you.” Cameron also commented on the inevitability of Christ’s triumph as King: “The Kingdom of God will advance, and the glory of the Lord will fill the earth like the waters covers the seas. And there’s nothing to be done to stop it.”

This film documents the testimony of the Karen people, the largest and oldest indigenous tribe in Burma (Myanmar). The Karen and other ethnic tribes, largely Christian, are oppressed and persecuted for their faith in a predominantly Buddhist society. They are being systematically exterminated in a merciless 50-year campaign of ethnic cleansing by a brutal military dictatorship intent on seizing their tribal lands. Over 500,000 Karen civilians have died during this conflict, and millions have been burned out of their villages, forced to flee into the jungle and across the river to Thailand. The recent "elections" in Burma have only intensified government attacks against them, bringing a new flood of refugees into already overcrowded camps just over the Thai border. Director Michael Jones traveled to Southeast Asia with Patrick Klein, founder of Vision Beyond Borders, a Christian relief ministry helping the Karen refugees who have escaped to Thailand. He shot this heartbreaking story, edited by Suzanne Smith. The program features actor Kirk Cameron as host and narrator, and frontline video from Free Burma Rangers.

from Real Truth Matters Added 321 1 0

Do you have the gospel that Jesus gave his life to establish? If life or death, heaven or hell is determined by the essential elements of the gospel, then it seems to be essential to know. In fact, it is an absolute necessity to know. In this session, the gospel that the Apostles presented at the expense of their lives was broken down and expounded by Pastor Michael Durham. There are some crucial elements being left out of most gospel presentations today--so crucial that without them a potential convert could be mislead.

This is a no-voice walk-through a portion of the "How Much is a Trillion?" project. This is just an overview of the process behind model setup, camera setup, and model animations involved. The model sizes are "distance" from the globe are exaggerated only to give the illusion of perspective and depth. In this scene, Kirk is telling how high a stack of one dollar bills would reach into space (which is approx. 60,000 miles into space). In reality, that is far beyond even the shuttle (250 miles) and even geosynchronous satellite orbits (26,000 miles). This piece isn't meant to be exact, but only to show that, WOW that's a pretty tall stack of bills. (Copyright 2010 Living Waters Publications) www.livingwaters.com
