The Edible Schoolyard is a collaborative project between the students from Eckerd College and Lakewood Elementary school. Eckerd students built an organic garden at the school and are using it as a part of the curriculum to teach kids about the environment, self sufficiency, where food comes from, and responsibility. Like the garden the film project is organic. It is growing and changing just as the plants are growing and the students are learning from the experience. The official film will be completed in April after our Harvest Festival.
