Stan Slap talks about his best-selling book, Bury My Heart at Conference Room B: The Unbeatable Impact of Truly Committed Managers. What We Believe Business is an apt metaphor for much of what’s wrong with the world today. It both mirrors the world condition and causes it. But business is also a wonderful mechanism for the best of what humanity can conceive of and deliver. That mechanism is in every manager’s hands. It is in your hands. Making your company successful? That’s interesting and profitable work. We’re going to help you do that—better than you ever thought possible. But it’s time to move it now, to make it righteous work. The world has somehow gone insane on our watch. What can you do about it? Fall back to your own community. Not just the one chosen by you outside the job; the one assigned to you inside the job. In the name of what you know to be right, make that world a better place. Be human first. A manager second. Our Aim is True The issues that chronically baffle and bedevil managers the world over—in every industry and every line of business—aren’t really new problems. The biggest problem is that the solutions aren’t really new solutions. They’re aimed at the effect, not the cause. slap is aimed directly at the cause. We focus on the power that often lies dormant in companies, that is often misunderstood or underestimated. Specifically, we know how to create commitment in the three groups that hold the power. As a result, we can achieve emotional commitment from your managers, fierce support for strategies from your employees and an experience that is brandable to your customers. Deadly Serious. Totally Twisted.? Relax; it’s a chronological equation. The deadly serious always comes first—including hardcore processes and metrics impact—but our work has a certain undeniable … attitude. It’s delivered as a constant change-up pitch of provocative and profound, heartfelt and hysterical, relevant and irreverent. And it’s driven by a lot of passion for the jaw-dropping power and vital importance of humanity in the workplace. The job of manager can be exhausting on the best of days. To give managers back the strength to embrace new solutions means connecting with them emotionally as well as intellectually. It means restoring their reason to believe. The Three slap Delivery Methods We deliver results through comprehensive consulting solutions that target enterprise-wide issues and individual training programs that can reach every manager in a company. We’ve been doing this awhile: All of our solutions and programs have been well researched and exhaustively beta-tested in the world of business before we offered them to you here.

We Turn Willingness Into Skill and Business Impact First, slap training focuses on creating the willingness in your managers to behave and perform in new ways. Then we translate that willingness into competency that assures them “new” is safe and sensible. All slap training programs are preceded by integration with enterprise/organization systems and synched with strategic and performance goals and include post-session coaching and a suite of application tools. We Turn the Mythological Into the Tactical slap translates huge, ethereal issues like leadership, strategic implementation and branding into practical, tactical schematics that transfer competency to every manager in any organization. We Turn the Tactical Into the Compelling slap talks to managers like managers really talk to themselves. Our presentations are equal parts provocative and profound, heartfelt and hysterical. All of our programs connect on both intellectual and emotional levels. We present new behaviors and skills as personal benefits to managers but our training is directly linked to business metrics. This way, managers can justify spending time on bettering themselves, knowing they’re simultaneously bettering the business.
